Hello,
took me awhile to write back. My issue was resolved by Support Team last Sunday.
I don’t know if they did something to my account, but this command helped me:
“C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -prefreset
I hope this helps someone in the future with similar problems.
Posting this for a friend that doesn’t have access to his account:
“Please check ticket #875944 I, Demonblader.6502, gave you access to my account 5 days ago to resolve the matter. Nothing happened yet. Can you please look into the matter? Thank You.”
I reseted the access to my account so I can write here in person. I am getting really frustrated over here. All I am asking give me an answer what the hell is going on. As a player who spent nearly 200€ in 15 months of playing I feel abandoned and ripped off. The one time I need support I don’t get it. I gave unresticted access to my account over 1 week ago and I still didn’t get any answer what is wrong with my account.
Can someone please look in to the matter, ticket #875944.
Cheers,
Demon

Hello Peter,
Having tried several other means of addressing the issue you have been experiencing, we believe that the next step in attempting to resolve the issue is to access your account directly.
Therefore, I would like to request your permission to log in to your account. Please note that in doing this, we will need to change the account password and we temporarily will disable any authentication features that are present on the account. Once we have logged out of the account, we will re-enable e-mail authentication on your account, if you currently have it enabled, and we will reset the password for you once more as well. If you have enabled mobile authentication on your account, you will need to re-enable this feature manually after we have logged off of your account.
Please let us know if we may have your permission to proceed.
Regards,
GM CeoG

No. What I am trying to say is: My account doesn’t work anywhere. Tested is on 4 different computers. While my friend can login/play with HIS account on my computer = Client/game is working on my computer if he can play. It is something wrong with my account, since I get the crash a few seconds after I click on “Play” button on any hardware/OS/ISP configuration. Instead of seeing my characters I get crash report.
I hope this clarify it better.
Well let me be more clear. I have the same error as Josip. I can almost say for sure it is NOT client side related. It is something on the server side. I will write the “solutions” I tried without success:
- Repairing game client
-swapping GW2.exe with Gw2Setup.exe and renaming it to Gw2.exe
-deleting all cache files
-reinstalling the game
-stress testing all HW
-reinstalling Windows
-disabling AV/FW
-connecting directly through modem, bypassing router
-connecting through mobile broadband router
-installing the game on my brothers PC
-my friend came over with his laptop. We got the same error trying to login/play with my account credentials. He can login/play fine on his laptop or my/brothers PC with his account. Only my account has the game crash on all PCs.
-Installing a fresh copy of Windows 7 on of the testing machines at work, same thing happens as at home (to further prove it is not ISP, Network or HW related)
I might have forgotten to write something down, but believe I tried everything that I can think off/search the web for. Yesterday I opened a ticket and I am in contact with the Support Team. As soon as I get any useful information/issue resolved I will post back here.

Hey there, I have exact same error for the past few days. I tried all the possible testing I can provide from my end. I tried 4 different PCs, 3 ISPs ans 2 OS (Win7 64bit and Win 8.1 64bit). Repair will not help, reinstaling PC, updateing OS/drivers won’t help.
Can you check if you have this line at the end of your error log:
" —> Error Logs <—
VerifyAccess failed or denied access with 0×80070716 – 1" <<< So I can be sure I am not the only one with that kind of problem.
I opened support ticket, now I am waitting for further instructions from support team.
As soon as I get any further info regarding resolving this issue I will post back here.

Well my GPUs is hitting around 70% without fights going on and 90%+ in huge fights.
Hello, I got some spare money to upgrade my rig. I wish to increase FPS in big WvW fights. WvW is the only issue now, I at least wish to get 40 FPS in blob fights on high settings.
My current rig setup:
CPU: Core i5-3570k @ 4.4GHz
MB: ASRock Z77-Extreme 4
RAM: 2×4 GB Corsair DDR3 1866 MHz
GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 660 Ti FTW Sig2 in SLI
HHD: 2x Intel SSD 330 Series 120 GB (RAID 0)
Monitor: HP Z27i (2560×1440@60Hz)
So my question shall I upgrade my CPU with Core i7-3770K or my GPU with GTX 780 Ti?
As I am reading forums here, I see I will not get much by upgrading GPU or nothing at all. How does i7-3770K perform in GW2 vs. i7-3570K (both on decent overclock)?
Thanks for helping me out sort this issue.
Ok. Good to know those facts, new GPU is the next upgrade. I currently do not play many other games, besides GW2 I only play AC IV. I guess I’ll go for 780 Ti soon.
Can I get any screenshots in natural format of 2560×1440 or any higher resolution, just too se how the game looks. Thanks.
Hello, I am buying myself anew monitor, I am currently looking at monitors with resolution 2560×1440. I want to know if GW2 supports this resolution and if my graphic cards are good enough to run the game at decent settings or if someone can share their experience in that matter. Thanks.
My PC:
CPU:Core i5-3570K@4,4 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
HDD: 2xSSD in RAID 0
GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 660 TI FTW Signature 2
