Honestly my final thoughts regarding final rest is that it’s probably from somewhere in Orr.
AS such I reckon we should start to list area’s in orr that no one ever visits, and see if there are any dynamic event chains around there.
For example in the cursed shore you have
1. the labyrinth, which has the groundskeeper that I have never seen killed ever
2. The entire area behind jofasts camp which seems to have no purposeIn the straits of devastation you have the entire ocean. Has anyone hung around the abbadon temple and/or done any dynamic event near there?
Malchors, again, events no one does, places people dont go, ignore the temples, search the oceans, the cliffs, go where men have never gone before!
Killed the groundskeeper but he doesn’t spawn in a chest. The area behind the camp only has a small chest with a veteran abomination. c:

It’s not the full set but the main parts because some of it looked a bit awkward. Hope this helps for choosing!
Tier 2 Falconer’s Mask
Tier 2 Falconer’s Shoulders
Tier 3 Medium Assassin’s Coat
Tier 3 Medium Assassin’s Legs
CoF Gloves
Mad King Slippers
It seems to really depend on the people as well as the guild. I rejoined a guild from GW1 since they were the most active. It’s gotten to 500 members and nearly all of them represent without being asked and usually about 70-90 people are on at once. Of course people have left here and there but I think what keeps them there is that when people ask for help, there’s always someone who readily volunteers, whether it’s for a dungeon, PvP, exploring, etc… In a lot of big guilds and sometimes even smaller guilds where people aren’t online as much, people don’t pay attention to guild chat, they don’t offer help or just hang out with other guildies. With guilds it’s always quality over quantity and if people are able to find one that doesn’t stress on large numbers and is more relaxed then they tend to stay.
The multi-guild system isn’t bad for people who have guilds that specialize in their own things but I see how for guild leaders it’s a bit disappointing. But overall it doesn’t seem to be something that needs to be changed since it seems like these things could be accomplished by recruiting different people or getting a guild to be more active.

Have you been getting a giant empty bit in your characters stomach? Mine only recently started doing this… .__.
Did the scavenger hunt and the clock tower as well as tried out the different activities, such as the labyrinth and dungeon. Other than tagging along whenever someone invited me, I haven’t really been compelled to participate and have been a bit disappointed as well as some others I know. Not sure what it is because I know many people enjoy it and ANet put a lot of effort into it but I’m not as excited as when the holidays came in GW1. Hopefully Christmas and New Years will bring a different feel and I can’t wait until then.

Great thread! It’s nice to see people helping each other.
This is really nice of you and would love to get this for my friend’s guardian! Good luck to everyone!
Yeah, a few guildies and I had this problem last night and relogged 7+ times to get it to work but if it doesn’t work after 10 or more, which I’ve heard some people had to do, then I’d wait a bit until it’s fixed. Oh! Make sure everyone in your party is relogging and try.
Entering dungeons have been a bit buggy for some people. If you relog until you get the option to enter either explorable or story it should be fine. Good luck to you sir!
I can’t wait until they have dungeons similar to DoA and have fixed the rewards system. Someday, good sir.
SideStep:
The explorable for AC is actually a lot easier than the story it seems and oddly enough, Arah seems to be the easiest one I’ve done in story since they nerfed CM.
I don’t mind the difficulty of most dungeons but I think what a lot of people want is a scaled reward. They are currently working on fixing the rewards, which I’m happy about but the main thing with the dungeons for me is that the content has been traded for more enemy health. Instead of taking 1-2 hrs going through various areas, it’s spent killing 2-3 bosses and an assortment of normal and veteran/champion mobs.
I think if they redesign them or plan them out a bit differently by using the time spent in the area differently then a lot more players will do dungeons.
It’d be nice if in the future they add or redesign the dungeons a bit better. At the end of Arah, it seemed like the most awkward fight, having the boss simply stay put and take all the hits for 5+ min without moving. Coming into GW2, I expected a lot from the dungeons since I was almost always in DoA in GW. The system and planning was wonderful for it and I expected something just as good for GW2 if not better so I hope they add more to them in the future.
For the issue of monsters having a tremendous amount of health, it does get a bit repetitive after a while. Much of the time it seems like after the first bit of figuring out the enemy, you’re stuck fighting them while only moving and dodging when absolutely necessary.
These things aren’t anything bad but many people do wish to see more thought out dungeons and less sticking to one place and fighting a couple enemies.
He’s my level 80 Engineer and my main character Sehvi! Still haven’t found a nice color combination for the Order of Whispers armor that I can stick with. xD

I know you’ve probably heard this from other people but crafting seems to be one of the best ways to gain experience. If you don’t have enough materials, you can buy some from the TP and focus on making discoveries as well as crafting items at the highest level you can.
Another thing is finding places that have back-to-back events. You can repeat them as many times as you want but I do understand that after a while things become repetitive. Also, I know the CM Dungeon has just been nerfed but you might want to try a different dungeon or ask around for ones that give a decent amount of experience.
But generally most people have been getting experience by doing these things and probably more.
- Crafting
-100% Map Tracking
-Gathering
-Events
-Dungeons
Good luck!
To be honest, as many have already said, the rewards aren’t something to be upset about because they are only skins and mini pets and the others are simply titles. I was a bit disappointed though when entering to get the rewards because they are a bit underwhelming. I thought they’d implement a way to display your accomplishments again as well as the ones from GW so I’ll be hoping for something similar in the future but it’s not likely.
But you can always go back and add onto HoM points if you really do want the rewards (many people are still doing this so don’t worry). But don’t try and take away from people who have followed the game for years and spent the time earning stuff because we all enjoyed it then and now everyone can enjoy it’s sequel now. c :
As Reillan said before, try and collect everything you see and later on make sure to upgrade your tools because crafting yields a lot of experience. Killing monsters doesn’t give as much since everything’s focused on finishing maps and doing events. So make sure to participate in events that you’re near because you can do them as many times as you want.
There is a place in Gendarran Fields called Snowblind Peaks though that has an arena. You get about 1.5k xp for the event there and there’s an event right after that gives an additional 1k xp.
Oh! I forgot but helping downed players gives a nice amount of xp too so it makes everyone happy!
But do everything at you’re own pace. Good luck!

Many players seem to be having trouble using the flamethrower but it’s very useful, especially with mobs. Make sure you’re close enough and when you’re strafing, move in a circle around the enemy with your camera instead of the keys. Engineers don’t have any melee but many of their skills and all of their weapons are generally short to mid-range so try and mess around with them a bit more.
I do agree that the turrets are quite underwhelming and I’d love to see them incorporate something that allows them to gain defense as you level. It’d also be great if there was a trait that reduced the CD because with the way it is now it’s a bit of a hassle to place them. But to be honest, a lot of times when I see people using turrets they’ll simply throw them out in a group without spreading them out or they’ll have they Healing Turret out in front.
There are a lot of issues with this class but it’s only been about 2-3 weeks in so Anet will most likely try and fix these things later whether it be for better or for worse.
