The very low cooldown on Mighty Bash and slow but considerably impactful chain makes the Hammer unique imho.
Not that tweaks such as
AA #3 could be buffed by 1/2-1/4 sec
- +150 range
- gain a boon such as retaliation
- quite simply a lower cooldown
- damage while inside or crossing would be in line with it’s CD
wouldn’t be appreciated. The Hammer doesn’t need to be comepletely reinvented.
One issue is the contribution bar and players wanting to focus on filling it up before the next part of the meta event starts the other one is map hopping or rather the fact that it is now required gameplay for pretty much everything in Maguuma unless you enjoy wasting your time.
Less people ress others it seems and often times ress dead ones in combat or before getting downed players back on their feet. In general unless there’s danger to myself I always focus on getting downed players back up since it yields a good amount of exp for my effort and adds another meatshield to the fray. I don’t however ress dead people while in combat since it’s a waste of time and the risk of getting downed yourself is actually substansial at many events.
As for the HP … shouldn’t “requires ley line gliding” answer the question as to why people are not responding to you? Most players simply run towards you if you write in chat and link the POI or WP near the HP you want to do or activate your apple. Most however will not use chat to reply unless they’re far enough away to worry about you being done before they get there.
Also harder to do/reach HPs are less interesting if you already did them since the effort will often outweight your personal gain in experience apart from diverting your attention away from map objectives unless it’s the cooldown phase.
Each map has their own world bosses … they’re just part of ongoing cycling events.
Two maps have several bosses (and yes I realize the octovines don’t actually fight back themselves) while the other two have larger bosses at the very end of the meta event.
Maybe at this point the chak daddy shouldn’t be counted though since they seemed to have balanced it around all players on the map participating and knowing what’s what (which isn’t going to happen with people just exploring or doing their story etc).
The issue wiht HoT maps is time/reward ratio after unlocking things that you need only once for specific collections etc and the major inconvinience imposed on us by the LFG system that doesn’t even let you search or sort the list of taxi groups – not to mention that the inability of some players to not list stuff like “LF zerker CoF” under open world content.
Actually more than one pair of actual pants for heavy and sort of pants for light armor (both gem store items btw) should be higher on the to-do list.
And medium armor tops that have no coats attached that are either in the gem store or very much midriff baring.
The issue with the raid is that it requires the exact same gear that it rewards – considering that raids are together with crafting the most significant option to get ascended items this is a problem no matter if or how many characters you have in all pinks.
The f? Did you not read my previous reply to the other guy?
First of all, you only need 2 crafting. I’m 500 on weaponsmith and armorsmith. Do you really have 2 char with ascended armor? Or is it just bluffing? lol
That really depends on your class and how much you ignore alternate weapon sets. For a most classes you need 2 professions although the missing offhand or what not can be obtained by those rare Teq chests.
What intrests me more is your opening line in this thread and the one in your very first post ever (which was 23 days ago):
I’ve only played warrior for 2 months, idk much about what’s good and what’s bad about the traits yet.
Either way if you got full ascended gear on one character (Warrior I guess but no bow?) within a month it was not done via normal play – and unsurprisingly not a condition class.
There are three ways to do it though, gems, gaming the TP for hours or living in Tyria. Considering you already said that you didn’t use option 1 + 2 I guess you had a lot of time on your hands.
Now those prices above assume you’re buying everything off the Auction House (and using your own daily Deldrimor/Spiritwood cooldowns). Part of the problem right now is that wood prices have spiked since the start of the expansion (example: http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/19722).
That’s kind of proving his point since the auction house prices are related to people trying to get better gear quickly to do the raid – or more specifically, to be invited to a raid group.
Cloth prices and black diamonds are also no joke either. Not that the diamonds really matter considering the very unfun and only option to obtain them is relying on RNGesus.
I’ve got 3 characters with weapons & accessoiries and 1 piece away of the power set for one of them. The Viper set is still at 0/6 although I’m slowly collecting black diamonds I’m also running out of empyrial fragments.
At first ascended gear was introduced as a shiny bonus that has a tiny stat increase which isn’t needed for anything really. Now I think if this were still true and the discussion would revolve around the second raid wing it would be an entirely different one.
The issure here is the rather awkward situation of a piece of content requiring pink gear (no matter if because of design or group leaders) while at the same time all content has been designed and balanced in a way that makes said content the easiest and second most relyable source of the very same gear. Basicly raids are there so you can a) get your legendary armor and b) gear your alts.
But as it stands your main character has to first complete pretty much all meaningful progression and then go raid. Whoever had that stroke of genius I do not know but afaik this is unprecedented in any western MMO – for a reason I might add.
