When all three wurms are at 5% or the timer hits 1:35 Amber will start initiating their final burn and Crimson will start filling their phytotoxins up along with Cobalt getting the kegs in place.

Class Spread- 5 Elementalists at Amber, 2 at Cobalt, 2 at Crimson. 2 elementalists at each Wurm will be using swirling winds to reflect the eggs that are being spit out, having them in a party together allows for easier coordination. Having the Elementalists reflecting the eggs keeps the mobs that spawn to a smaller amount allowing for more coordinated burns. The extra elementalists at Amber will be using swirling winds when the group stacks up to get eaten and during burn phases. During each burn phase the elementalists should be dropping conjured weapons so that the zerg can pick them up and do more damage.

Condition Classes- Necromancers, Engineers, and Rangers- It is best to have at minimum a part of 5 at each Wurm, these will be clearing the husks that spawn and that is their only job along with the burn phases.

Mesmers- 3-4 at Cobalt, 2 at Amber, 2 at Crimson. At Cobalt the mesmers will be dropping a portal at the end of each burn phase near the kegs, at no point you will be dropping portals directly on the kegs. At all Wurms the mesmers will be dropping time warps to allow for more damage to the Wurm.

During phase 2 you will stack up on your commander. S/he will call for only fire fields to be dropped to give everyone might. When the Wurm does it’s initial charge double dodge and now the Wurm will be hopefully against a wall. When your commander calls for fire ele’s and ogre whistles use them. Also any conjured weapons that are place need to be picked up and used. Warriors save Battle Standard for when a group of players get downed. You will have 2 minutes to get all of the Wurm heads to 0% health.

The Wurm Event spawns every odd hour about 4 minutes into it.

Before the event starts you should have your classes spread out evenly with a 50/50/50 split stacked on each commander.

Foods that should be dropped are Feast of Fire Flank Steak and Feast of Truffle Steak. A Heroes Banner should also be dropped. You should pick up the buffs at 1 minute or less on the timer. You should have sharpening stones or maintenance oil along with fire ele powders, ogre pet whistles, and mortars. QUAGGAN TONICS ALSO

First thing that will happen is a 5 minute timer, then the npc explorers will spawn.
During the three escorts each npc will encounter eggs, the front group of eggs will always spawn a mob but the rear eggs can be destroyed before spawning anything. If any larva spawn you can use a reflect to shoot their spit attacks back at them dealing good damage.
After all of the escorts have arrives at their respective locations the Wurm will spawn, now is a good time to target it for your party.

Amber- Stack on your commander while the invulnerable Abom is being eaten. Look north and south to find the first abomination that you can kill. When you find it stack on it and kill it allowing yourself to get the tasty buff. Now you want to stand on the red arrow to be counted as food for the Wurm to eat. While stacked up it is a good idea to have water fields being dropped and blasted to provide regeneration for the party. Also have an elementalist using swirling winds to reflect any projectiles that get shot at you. Now you should be getting eaten by the wurm, once you are inside turn around and pick up the harpoon from the fallen adventurer. Use your 1 attack on the Pyloric Valve and when your commander tells you to stop you stop. After you hit the ground you can pop any stun breakers and then get in range of the wurm (1200) and use your 1 attack to take down a stack of slick skin. When all 20 stacks are down stack on the wurm and start attacking, there will be time warps being used and conjured weapons, pick up all conjured weapons and warriors place banners outside the zerg as to not interfere with picking up weapons. At the end of the burn phase you will still have a debuff preventing you from getting the tasty buff for so long. During this time stay on your commander and kill the mobs on it. Condition based players should be focused on killing husks. When the debuff gets down to 15 seconds you should be stacking back on up the abomination to kill it and get the tasty buff again. You will continue doing this until you get the wurm down to 5% of it’s health. Amber will never start stacking back up on the abomination with time under 1:35.

Crimson- At Crimson Wurm you will be running the phytotoxins to their respective machines. When each machine is full, it takes 30 of each color to fill it up, you will stack on the wurm where there will be time warps and conjured weapons being dropped. At the end of each burn phase you will be running the toxins again while condition players will focus on the husks that spawn. You will continue this until you get the wurm to approx 5%

Cobalt- At Cobalt Wurm you will be running kegs to the red arrow on the ground. You need 20 kegs to start a burn phase. Everyone except for condition players should be running kegs at all times unless the commander says otherwise. Again during each burn phase stack up on the Wurm picking up conjured weapons. You will do two burn phases and then everyone will clear mobs that have gathered up.

Yes, I wasn’t claiming anything special outside of what we do, like “first world kill” or anything. Calm down hehe. I was simply stating that we are a quality community. Deso, TxS, and others have great communities as well. Let me be HAPPY Destiny.5316! hehe.

TTS has trouble killing when the wurm is technically not working right, but we get first kill post patch when it IS working right. I’d like to call that…. QUALITY!

Deso, [Att], and I believe TxS have all already killed it post patch. Please check your information.

Deso killed it like Saturday afternoon and [Att] killed it Saturday night 9pm. Both of which were post patch.

Not taking anything away from yalls kill, just please check your facts before you make a statement like that.

We know others have killed it first. But the “we” refers to TTS. We’ve come up short by a few slivers of health before, so our first true kill felt great.

Ahh, sorry. The way he wrote it was saying to me that he was trying to say all the other groups that have killed it post patch didn’t happen. Been lacking on sleep so a bit on edge lol.

Anyways as I said already good job on the kill.

Here is the method that we at [Att] have been using.
50/50/50 split
5 ele’s at amber, 2 at crimson, 2 at cobalt. 2 ele’s will be on egg prevention and the extra at amber are for when we stack.
2-3 mesmers at cobalt to place a portal to the kegs at the end of each burn phase.
5-8 condi’s at each wurm for husk control.

At cobalt we usually do 2 burn phases then clear mobs with condi’s clearing husks the entire time ignoring the keg running. This continues to 5% and then we have everyone clearing mobs.

For crimson we do much the same strat as cobalt, a few burns then clear until 5%.

At amber we stack up, find the abom, kill it, get the buff, stack on the arrow, have our 3 non egg ele’s use swirling winds in rotation. Get inside, get the harpoon, break the valve, spit out, take down stacks, burn. Then we clear mobs on our commander until the debuff is down to 10 seconds, find the abom, repeat. This goes till 5% as well.

If all finish early we clear mobs until approx 1:40 remaining, find the abom at amber and stack and initiate the burn.

If one wurm still needs more time then amber will go in and buy some time.

During the entire fight 2 of the ele’s at each wurm will be using swirling winds to reflect the eggs.

After each wurm is decapped we stack on our respective commanders tag and stack might and swirling winds. And then phase 2 begins.

A group of people from Bg and other servers have come together to make a guild called [Att] It is our intent to refine strategies for the mega bosses and we plan to keep working on wurm. We enjoy it and want to be able to get a definitive strategy down.

I believe Rezz is right. I was there too for 2hours and I did not see it on map chat. I, and I am sure Rezz, would not have minded to join you guys and help you on DH server but we had no idea where you guys all went just as the event started. Now, DH vs BG, what is the difference? we were all there already and you guys were massively present.
Anyway, I still believe wurm should not be so hard so not to trigger such problems/poor ambiance. 20+ players per wurm knowing what to do should be enough to kill him, no need for 50+ elitist players on one map.
Anyway, gratz for your win.
Now come back on the main BG map :P~

One of the reasons we guest is because a lot of our guildies are from other servers so we want everyone to have a fair shot. Another thing is we spam the ts info because due to the way this event was made it requires voice comms to have any shot of succeeding at it. We have had so many close attempts but a good number of times someone wasn’t on teamspeak so they didn’t know what was going on and messed it up.

We usually do attempt it throughout the week on BG main but I hope you understand that since we did make a guild (we were really really open with invitations for the first week+) so we want to have specific days/times so that we can make official attempts. We are not trying to be elitist by any means, we just want to be organized to have a chance and not to burn everyone out by going every single day for so many hours non stop.

Also to answer your DH vs BG, BG main already had a lot of people so we made the decision that we would attempt on an emptier server so as not to have to deal with afkers taking up spaces that could be used for people wanting to actually do it.

Sadly we suffer from the same problem Deso does, which is why they goto OF. There are too many randoms who simply don’t want to work as a team. We still have the problem but this way lessens it.

Actually all of them do want to work as a team. Some of them don’t want to get on TS and that’s all. Butthey all know whatto do. And all 50 of them that stayed after you abandoned them 5 minutes before the event started were very disappointed in you guys. Congrats on beating taking many BG native and guesters to go with you and call it Attuned guild kill. You left no chance for those people who waited for 2 hour just to be abandoned.

It’s not all about winning, it’s about how you win. Show some respect to other people. And do not accuse them for things that are not true.
I honestly enjoyed wurm fights on BG first 10 days or so. Everyone was working together, patient, having fun, explaining every detail of the fight to everyone. Sharing thoughts, builds, tactics. However, once the elitist guild was created, everything changed. Now suddenly, you are the best just because you are wearing the guild tag and you have the right to split other BG native and guest players and take who you want with you? (those on TS). It’s just bad and wrong.

Actually we announced that we were guesting over to Darkhaven in guild chat, then teamspeak, and then map chap in BG main. So there was plenty of chances for people not in Attuned to come with us. We decided to guest because we have quite a few members of our guild who guest over to BG and we wanted to give them a chance. We have made it known when our official days are for the wurm. Attuned was created to let people know when the commanders that have put all the time and effort in would like to try the wurm. Please PM me in game if an Attuned member has been having an elitist attitude because that is not what we want.

Also please tell me how it is wrong if a guild wants to guest over to another server to attempt something? Of course we tell our guild members first which server because we are doing it as a guild event and then we tell teamspeak and then everyone else. We openly share our tactics, the builds that we’ve come up with, and pretty much everything. So I would like to ask you not to insult us just because you don’t like us.

We found a spot for the wurms to charge into in the arena against a wall (they can still leave the wall) where we drop all of our dps on and hope we kill the wurm heads. Switching to range while we chase wurms when they move and back to melee. In between phase 1 and 2 we might stacked. We had 1 condi group at each wurm to clear husks.

No Swirling Winds groups to prevent eggs?
NiP + friends kill last night we moved to an overflow to get away from abusive randoms on Deso main, gave us the time to get every group up with equal numbers of every profession so we had full condi teams and at least 3 swirling winds elementalists (Diboof!) on each wurm, so we had no egg spawns for about 90% of phase 1. Gives a lot more room for error than before we started experimenting with ele groups, especially on Cobalt. Might be worth trying out.

2 of the ele’s at each wurm were on egg duty. We kinda had the technique before everyone else. Wooden Potatoes came up with it with us and made a video that got seen and that is where it all came from.

We have been just fine with 2 ele’s to reflect most of the eggs, go back to helping the group, reflecting, and repeat.

  • Earth XI – Diamond Skin. This trait has been redesigned. Conditions cannot be applied to you when your health is above the threshold. 90%.

This effectively negates almost all condition builds against Elementalists in PvP. A suggestion to keep this idea but not have it be too good would to reduce condition damage by a % while over 85% health.
