Let me clarify my problem, the UI is fine, it’s there. All the steps are checked off and it tells me to head to rally point. It’s all in my right hand top corner just fine. What’s not there, is the instance to play the storyline. When I say no green star I’m meaning the green star on the map where you are supposed to head to. It’s like there is nothing active to do although the UI is saying go do this. I’ve tried to quit the story and start it again but it just puts me right back on the same step with nothing on map to initate story. Should I uninstall game and wait hours to redownload it? I feel like this is a server side problem and don’t want to waste my time doing that if it’s still going to be like this. Although I’m just waiting around anyways to see if you have fixed this. I played the beta and it worked just fine. How could it be so broke on the launch day? Hard to remain cool when a multi-millionaire dollar company releases a game that doesn’t even let you play what they release. Maybe all the drinking on the twitch stream should have been canceled and all of you should have been making sure the game you are releasing actually works right. Good luck on fixing it. At this point I feel like it will never get fixed and after reading the update notes you fixed a “problem” that wasn’t even the issue.

I sincerely apologize as it is indeed fixed! Thanks so much. I had to go to the silverwastes map for the green star to load up but it sure did and I’m now in the jungle.

My living story bug still isn’t fixed. Even after the update. Prologue mission stuck on meet at the rally point. No green star, portal has a big no enter sign on it. I can’t get to jungle. I’ve posted earlier, just letting you know it’s not fixed. Thanks

I am unable to see guild chat. Other people in my guild can see guild chat but I can’t. I’ve tried relogging and toggling the online/offline feature and neither has fixed it.

Click the word chat in your chat panel and turn guild chat on. It’s off by default

I have not been able to get anything from Guild chat today. Pretty frustrating as the social aspects of the expansion are one of the big features. I know I already missed the first guild mission after the expansion, and was unable to get into the parties forming to explore the new maps.

Turn on your guild channel by clicking on chat in the chat panel. It’s off by default.

How to join in first HOT story zone again and do step “Gather at the rally point leading into the Maguuma jungle”? I use wp to travel to LA and cant get back to it.

yeh always crash when i try to get to the last step of the “prologue” instance

where it seems like a cutscene starts … but just complete freeze and have to use taskmanager to end gw2

i didnt patch 100% before trying this though
tried 1x at 30% when i was just able to get into the game
tried 1x at ~65%
will now wait for 100% and then try again and tell here if it worked then

i patched to 100% some hours ago and it immediatly worked then without a problem

100 percent patched and still have problem

Its because it isnt about the crash, it is about if u leave the Instance u cant reenter it.

Orangensaft doesnt left the instance, so he could proceed as soon as he loaded the cutscene, others left the instance for some reason and are stucked now.

When I get to the Prologue 1st Rally point the game crashes with no crash report. Have tried this 6 times now with 2 different characters over the past 12 hours and no success.

Not as of now, but you aren’t the only one by a longshot, tons of players (me included) are having similar problems either with it crashing, or outright being impossible to complete, the dev’s are aware and are working on a fix…though our patience is starting to wear down a little despite that reassurance, and before anyone suggests a fix, trust me, we’ve tried them all, none of them worked

Yep we sure have. I’m just waiting for the Arenanet gods now to fix it. Sucks, but what can we do? Still love the game. I wouldn’t want to have the job of fixing it and all the pressure. Lol

Ya I messed up and started playing before it fully downloaded. There shouldn’t be an option to play it before it’s downloaded it it’s going to break your game.

Yet I started playing only after the expansion had fully downloaded… So that isn’t the issue at all, as I am stuck in the prologue too.

Same here got new build, still stuck at rally point part of prologue. No green star, no instance. Patiently waiting but sucks to not be able to play what we just bought and was waiting for. Friends are all in jungle, not me.

Ya i logged out last night in the middle of the prologue and now I can’t continue it. My friends are in the jungle and I’m locked out. Tried to find the entrance in silverwastes for a hour this morning.

In prologue, the game restarted for a new build and now I have no green star or portal to jungle. It says get to rally point but there is no green star or portal. Just stuck and can’t get into jungle. Getting really mad

The Apocalyte Sept is recruiting all players! We are a casual/laid back guild but we are still focused on teaming up together and getting things done. We are a ten year old guild that first formed in the original Guild Wars game. During the transition to Guild Wars 2 lots of our members didn’t want to play Guild Wars 2 so the guild broke up for some time. With the Hearts of Thorns expansion coming out, we have reformed and we our building up the guild for all the great expansion content. New players and old players are all welcome to join!
