Hello, GW2 forum. I’m going to try and make this short and to the point. I’ve started a guild a couple days ago called Bringers of Might [BoM] on my lower leveled Guardian. Essentially, I want this guild to turn into a very well rounded community-like group.
I don’t want to be a 100% focused guild either. For instance, we would have PvE, PvP, and WvW “events” instead of just purely focusing on WvW like most guilds do nowadays. It will cater to lower levels and beginners of the game that wish to get more in depth with community driven gameplay, hence the PvE. So far, I am the only one in the actual guild itself but I have a few people lined up to join (this may be different by the time you read this.) I am also not a complete newbie to owning/running a guild as I have had experience in others games including good ol’ Guild Wars 1.
If you tl;dr’d - [BoM] is an all players guild that has a rounded focus (PvX/WvW) and caters to both high and low levels.

If you wish to join Bringers of Might, please contact (either mail or PM if online) Heimdal Tohrson on Northern Shiverpeaks.
I am mostly on the evenings in (GMT -8:00 [PST]).
Hope to see you online!
(EDIT: I will have a VoIP such as TeamSpeak or Ventrilo up and running when we acquire more members.)

I just started playing a typical Norn Guardian the other day, never have played a Guardian or even a Norn before. This really shed some light (hehehe) on the Guardian’s capabilities that I didn’t even know I could do. I love playing support classes, especially when you charge into WvWvW and take a keep or whatever and you’re keeping all of your buddies alive.
Anyway, thank you a lot Eveningstar. This is by far one of the best GW2 guides out there.
That’s true. I guess you’re right.
A reasonable way? Hm. Not allowed to repair whilst attackers are past and inside the gate and walls itself?
I think that’d be fair, if you slapped on the not popping up until 10% as well
I agree, something has to be done.
Best idea IMO d be making impossible to repair completly broken parts (walls, gates) while keep is still under attack in their vicinity.
That is easily explotable though. As one player hiding somewhere could stop the gate or wall from being built the entire game.
THAT, I disagree with. But good thinking.
I agree with this except for the fact that he said 10 minutes. I think it should take quite some time to get walls/gates repaired and agreeing again with Vayra. They should not actually be able to block until it is at least 10% repaired. I’d even stretch to 15%.
Opinions obviously, but hey.
I’ve always done quite well with a greatsword (mainly in PvP though, I’d recommend a different leveling build for PvE).
You just need to move around A LOT. Use your skills Whirlwind Attack and Rush, they will help you out a lot. Especially when someone realizes they’re about to get screwed and start to run away.
That was very general, just figure out how you like to play and then work around that
