No problem, like I stated in my first post, “many Australians”, not all, suffer from this problem. 216 is still very high for a PvP match as most people we play against are below 100 and you will always be behind them in movement… I have played competitively in many games and 216 is deemed ridiculous.

That is a good point but there must be something they could do to help us with our ridiculous ping levels. It just makes a lot of the content they created unplayable among the Australian community

Anet please fix this disastrous attempt to “fix” clutter. Ruins our mad style

Will Australian’s ever be offered or supported with at least one Australian dedicated server. It would benefit all your loyal Australian customers and would make us more viable in PvP, raiding and general group / solo game play.

With normal ping of over 300+ without even entering combat or populated areas you can imagine the frustration when we (many Australian’s) enter WvW to do our server justice and are unable to help as we sit on average ping levels of 1000+. I/we love this game and want to enjoy all aspects of the game and that’s why we play it but we are unable to enjoy large amounts of content and it really discourages us from playing this wonderful game.

Please Anet, take the time to read this and possibly consider what is in the best interest of other countries also. And if anyone agrees, please respond below. Thank you and have a good day.

Oh and P.s, I am running a high powered computer, running at around 5Mbps downloads and have no connection issues. Just to clarify any queries and I already have all necessary ports open.

A year ago I was playing Guild Wars 2 with ease. Since I have rejoined (2 months ago), I have experienced major latency issues with my ping never getting lower than 250 (usually in the average 800 range). I have tried the “-clientport 80” etc. to no avail. Please does anyone have any suggestions/solutions to this problem.

May I add, I only experience this latency on GW2, all other games&services work perfectly well, only GW2 seems to want to screw me over….

Since Anet have rolled out the megaservers I have had a constant battle, not with players in PvP (I’d rather), but in playing the game smoothly in any mode. My latency use to be around about 50 which is great; it now runs at over 300 latency with (600 latency average). This makes PvP unachievable unless I ask them kindly to stand still and 1v1 me…..not going to happen. I can’t do dungeoning either as those lovely red rings of death pop up as they go off, not as a warning. Anet, please bring back better servers for players in Australia, I have had so many complaints from other reliable customers of yours, so please support us; especially as I have paid my moneys worth I at least expect to be able to play the game!
