Hi! Like the title says, is there a list of all possible errors (and http status codes) I can receive when calling an endpoint? It would be helpful to handle errors better depending on what went wrong
So far I’ve found these errors :
- 400 or 503? – (when the servers are down, I don’t remember the error message)
- 403 – endpoint requires authentication (when using an invalid API key)
- 403 – requires scope <SCOPE> (when using an API key with insufficient permissions)
- 404 – no such id (when calling an endpoint with an invalid item id)
- 404 – not found (when calling an endpoint that doesn’t exist)
Are there more possible errors?
Thank you!
Hi everyone! Today I bring to you a tool I’ve made that uses the API to calculate how much gold per hour you are making while playing the game. Click here! (screenshots)
How it works:
- First, you have to create an API key in the Applications tab of your account . Make sure you grant the following permissions: wallet, tradingpost, account, inventories and characters.
When you start the application, I scan everything on your account. - Every 3 minutes, I scan it again.
- I compare what you have right now to what you had when you started the application.
- New items are displayed in the “Acquired items” section, while the items you’ve lost are displayed in the “Lost items” section.
- For each item, I get it’s current value from the trading post.
- I sum everything and display how much gold you’ve made (or lost) as well as how much gold per hour that makes!
Things to keep in mind:
- The data from the API is not always live (in real time). Sometimes it might take 2 or even 3 refreshes before an item appears, so please be patient.
- Currently, your guild banks and the trading post delivery box are not accessible with the API. That means that if you deposit an item in your guild bank, it will appear as a lost item. For the same reason, if you buy an item on the trading post and you don’t collect it, it will never show in your acquired items.
- You can customize the interface and how the application works in the settings!
A special thanks to my friends who gave me suggestions and helped me test the application.
If you find bugs or have suggestions, you can mail me in-game at Deviljeff.1946 or send me a private message on Reddit.
Have a nice day!
Good news, John Smith answered this in another thread in the black lion trading co subforum : https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/bltc/Orichalcum-dropping-Here-s-why/page/2#post1275199
Maybe it’s not worth the effort to create / delete alts to farm this, but for my level 2 characters that I will level up later, they are able to mine some extra orichalcum every day
Or, simply buy the picks with a lvl 80 character with lots of karma, then put the picks in the bank…
After looking at the wiki here is my opinion on the OP’s query:
If the pick can be equipped by a level 1+ char, it’s ok. If it had a req of level 60+ and you can still equip it, this would obviously be a bug and therefore you would be exploiting.
If the pick was not meant to gather ori ore, but you was able to, then this would be an exploit. If it is intended to mine ori for level 1+ chars, as stated by the wiki, then there is absolutely no issue. You are not gaining anything more than you should be and you are using the tool within it’s set parameters.
I have a question for you though OP. How are you surviving in Southsun Cove as a level 2 character? And how are you able to get to the rich ori veins?
With a friend thief or mesmer (for invisibility), it’s pretty easy to get to the rich ori vein in southsun cove (you swim around the left part of the map, then go up from the waypoint). Most of the time on my server, people drag down the champion karka, so he’s not next to the ori vein. EDIT : Someone already posted a video showing how to get there in december : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI5FbMmelqE
Back to the point : I stopped mining the ori with my low level characters until we get a clear answer… Is it intended that we can use the karma mining pick (no level restriction) to mine orichalcum?
(edited by Deviljeff.1946)
I’m not deleting alts to run to the vein, I just want to know if it is intended that I can mine orichalcum with the pick bought with karma in a 45-55 zone.
Selling food bought with karma was not intended, people were banned. What if it’s not intended to mine ori with those picks (bought in a 45-55 zone)?
I still think that it is not an exploit, but only ArenaNet knows what is “intended”.
I’ve tried to find a post about this subject but I didn’t find any. With the mining picks bought with karma from Crusader Patrick in Bloodtide Coast (“http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mining_Pick”) , it is possible to mine Orichalcum with my level 2 characters. Is it considered an exploit if I mine the rich orichalcum vein in Southsun Cove every day with those low level characters? I think not, since you probably can do the same with black lion mining picks. I just want to make sure, since maybe those mining picks were not “intended” to mine orichalcum… Thank you!
Please fix this! I always find myself losing my target during a fight only because I want to rotate the camera
