Oh atleast im not the only person who got this issue. I’m having the same problem here, game either crashes with the exact same error message as the thread starter, or my game freezes and I need to restart.
And that before the event, great.
I’m getting mad if I can’t be on the event this weekend. I missed the halloween event already.

Yeah, it’s going to really suck if I can’t enjoy this event.

If you are running a 32bit OS, some have found that deleting the local.dat file from GW2 root folder fixed their issue.

Sounds similar to my issue, you’re not alone.

I assume you’ve tried enabling fullscreen windowed mode in Guild Wars 2.

I did not read the entire thread.

Just a suggestion for those guilds that don’t have alliances like you. Would help in making the WvWvW more balanced pop. wise.

Like mentioned, sounds like your video card is stuck in 2D mode (which means lower speeds) and for some reason it’s not going into 3D mode when playing Guild Wars 2.

Other fixes you could try, if you don’t want to have youtube running:

a) add a Guild Wars 2 profile to your videocard settings
b) try different drivers

Until they can supply a fix to this problem (which may take a while I guess). Transfer to low pop. servers.

Yes, lightning effects are probably responsible for this. Which isn’t odd, but they may be exaggerated. I assume you’ve tried calibrating your monitor and videocard? That might help you.
