Stronghold Feedback [merged]

I enjoyed my time in stronghold though I did feel out of pace with the game when I first started. I would recommend that the devs take a look at Super Monday Night Combat they have a few mechanics that would really benefit this game type

What SMNC does: Turrets have shields that can only be pierced by the AI units before player can deal damage to them
Why/How it would work here: Give the archers a debuff attack that leaves the gate guards more vulnerable to damage. This gives a high incentive on killing and guarding the archers

What SMNC does: Lines are drawn on the map that show the flow of the bots
Why it would work here: I knew the basics of how the game worked but I was still lost I didn’t know what side to push and which one to guard the way the map is currently set up it seems like there is only one way to get out of the castle it needs to be clearer which side does what and that you have access to both from the start

What SMNC does: Player seeking AI
Why it would work here: Anything with an interrupt that disrupts the current battle will be so much fun give it some pve love

Multiple Mouse Clicks Macro

I’ve read Anet’s stance on macros but I still am unsure if I can program a key to preform multiple mouse clicks to open bags.

Really want an official answer on this one

Game Updates: Traits

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Personally I think the unlocks are too limiting in early game. When I leveled my pre patch lvl 30 thief through personal story/map completion after the patch I enjoyed experimenting with traits and the changes made to the system felt good. I recently made a post patch necromancer and hit lvl 60 and other than a stumbling across a few traits I’ve not actively sought traits or really ever opened my trait page as the number of locked traits feels overwhelming.

Problems
- Some trait unlocks tasks feel disproportionate to what you get (map completion in a to low or too high lvl map)
-UI is too cluttered to look at what needs to be unlocked
- Limited experimentation specifically in early game
- Points to unlock the traits feel like they are randomly given to the player (milestones are at odd numbers and caused me to gloss over earning them)

Suggestions
- Have a new map marker to indicate trait challenges (Less burden the player to find them)
-faster earning/unlocking pace (better to find out early what doesn’t work for you rather than wait till 80 when its harder to change your gear)

Sab, Rewards and motivation to play

in Super Adventure Box: Back to School

Diego.4153

I don’t play SAB for the skins, I just play for the achievements and the challenge. I would love to play it more often but with the latest expansion the SAB is so lengthy that I actually need to choose between character progression and the SAB. I’m hoping that you will introduce more rewards for outside of the SAB so that it does not feel like I am playing something isolated from the main game.

Thank you for creating the SAB I still have lots of fun in it

Ruined mats from orichalcum harvesting tools

I’m out of combat in one of the pictures there and I haven’t seen this problem before :/ maybe they upped the % of ruin chance or unlucky streak? either way I would have like to have know that before wasting the node. Any links with the %‘s or any info on this because there’s nothing about this written on the tools themselves or in the gathering tool page on the wiki

edited: probably was in combat still think they need to update the tool tip or something thank you Kerishan for your response

I first noticed the problem around the time the consortium sickle was released the problem still continues
pick-axe -molten
axe -orichalcum
sickle -consortium (haven’t had a problem harvesting with the sickle)

I have gotten ruined ore from Orichalcum nodes so I have lost a chunk of silver due to this bug compensation would be appreciated :p

Whats staying from the Last Stand release?

in Last Stand at Southsun

Diego.4153

Really would like to know if there’s an official word on any if any of the following Last Stand content is staying or going

Settler armor/weapon Karka shell vendors
Sclerite Weapon Vendor
Southsun Supply Crates
Karka Queen World Event
Consortium/Settler boosts
Blooming Passiflora nodes

Really want them to keep all of it up to make Southsun something other than a Karka hole

Things to improve

in Super Adventure Box

Suggestions
1. I would really like it if rushing wasn’t so optimal in the SAB
2. The cost of health and lives is very out of whack. I don’t see a benefit from buying lives vs buying continue coins (continue coin 20hearts for 50 baubles vs lives/potions 20 hearts for 100 baubles)
3. Loosing a whole life for falling is very harsh punishment I’ve seen many players wipe because of one area that is too hard for them to jump

Bugs
1. jumping next to certain trees causes the character to hit an invisible ceiling/wall a good example of this jumping to the first tree that leads out of the first dog bee queen battle
2. lag effects SAB in some very negative ways at native im running at about 50fps and I have a strong internet connection that works very well in the rest of the game but here the lily pads do nothing to stop the poison damage, most enemies will get a hit in before they realize they’re dead, targeting seems off, and some jumps become impossible. When I put it to subsample I get a bit over 60fps and everything works fine (hopefully its just me)
4. The plants keep eating my keys is it a bug or intentional
if its a bug please fix it
if its intentional I hate you guys

thanks for your time, love what you have created here

Why do people fear 'power creep'?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Diego.4153

Diego.4153

My concern is that with a progression system that just adds extra power it could make everything else too easy.

My lvl 36 eng suited suited in rare all power gear with all rare power acc in a lvl 31 zone attack= 943
My lvl 80 hunter in lvl 80 rare magic find/power gear and lvl 75 blues in acc slots in a lvl 31 zone attack = 765

Id rather they keep this area a challange than progressively making it easier

Thoughts on Ascended Gear? [Merged threads]

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Diego.4153

Ascended items are just extra power making the whole game easier for one one dungeon that makes all other dungeons pointless. This hurts the idea that all things are still challenging after you hit the level cap, an idea that I bought the game for.
