Well if its intended then its not a bug at all. it means they’re turning the events off for some reason like combating bots or slowing down farmers.

I like the nightly server reset idea. Until they get a permanent fix, it would alleviate problems for now. It would also likely fix CoF which has been inaccessable on tthe northern shiverpeaks server all week due to the entrance event being bugged out.

Guildmate of mine seems to think this is intentional and that they want to drive us towards doing dungeons. The problem with that is, they’re currently a huge timesink with little reward other than tokens. They could easily alleviate this by rewarding us with karma, silver and the occasional rare. Still though, we should be able to enjoy all endgame content so I would like to see both options. Why not make your customers happy?

Just curious if this is intentional or is the coding bad? I’ve been farming there for a week now and within a day of the server resets, some events stop working altogether. The impact this has on the population is dramatic. When they’re all working people show up in droves, the place is alive and the action non stop. Then 1-2 days later, when the DE’s die, theres only the avids like me waiting a mind numbing 10-15 minutes between the 2 events that do work. I wouldn’t bother except its my best source of income since the tp has dried up considerably and heck alot of great gear and skins cost karma or gold. And no, I don’t want to do lower level zones again for piddly rewards or have to solo them because the population has come and gone.

Anyways it would be a shame if this was intended so as to combat farmers or bots because it really does take the dynamic out of the event when there’s few people around.

I also had issues when I got to 80 and decided to farm the cursed shore de’s. Then I got a gs and it all changed. Most de mobs there come in large waves so I always start with iberserker. Its pretty much an instant whirlwind attack that tags alot of mobs right off the bat. Where the OP says the zerker is unpredictable I totally disagree. He’s the best tagger we have for de’s. Next spam 2 and 3 and thats it. I’m traited for illusion and phantasm cd reduction so zerker is always up fast. And although I can swap to sword/focus I never do unless its a long fight…ie veteran or champ that just stays in one place. I have no problems tagging mobs/getting loot and compared to my 80 warrior I would say I get 80-90% of what he can farming those de’s. So not too shabby at all.

One thing I’ve noticed is if you come in late..ie mobs health is already going down, you have less chance of getting loot. I’m always quick to get the zerker out asap which makes a huge difference.

I’m running a wells build with dagger/warhorn and sceptor/dagger. So wells for utilitys + the run signet and the annoying fleshy for elite. For 1 or 2 targets I mainly just melee and on 3 or more use wells. My question is whether there is a better or faster killing method for pve? and is it worth stacking condition damage? I’ve leveled to 54 with power/precision… my crit chance buffed with food and sigil is about 65%. Build is 0-20-4-20-0.

Swordsman no question for me because he hits like a truck, doesnt stay in melee range and is good for moving targets. The warden just irritates me because he roots himself and at high level i find most targets are moving alot unless i stay in melee range. The only beef i have with the swordsman tho is that I usually always get the aggro with him out for some reason. If i get out 3 on a boss I have to kite like mad.

285 gtx just not cutting it

bought a gtx 650 instead because the sales dude recommended it over the 550 ti….as to the 285’s performance, my sons been complaining for awhile that his games run like a slideshow…didnt even attempt to play gw2 with it because on my 295gtx it was abysmal. I upgraded mine to a 670 gtx and its been excellent. unfortunatley I didnt have the money to buy my son one now that he’s decided to try gw2 out else i would have got us cards in between the 2. thx all for the help

After trying every class to at least level 20, I always return to my warrior (76 now). There just isn’t a class as well rounded and fluid to play as the warrior imo. Only other class thats close is d/d sb thief which I’ll prolly level up next. Problem with thief though is the sb really does suck damage and range wise. I plan on hitting WvW alot in the near furture and don’t see thief near as useful as warrior…not that i’m complaining…WARRIOR ROCKS!
