Is Adnul going to get a nerf, I’ve already sunk 2 hours into it without success I don’t want to spend several hours on something that’s going to be fixed tomorrow. Also for the love of god please get rid of his gloat at the end. It’s really frustrating being boasted at by code created by what I have to assume is the pot smoking son of someone high up in ANet who felt bad because he failed first year Computer Science.
Uh, nothing against DR or Kaining, but I don’t think it was the scoring system or you two fighting each other that kept you down.
Both servers had severe population problems. Both servers had this issue addressed. Congrats to both, wish you both success.
Take your time moving up the ladder though. Learn from each tier as you go. It only gets tougher.
For about 3 months we’d usually swap turns at winning each week, so our scores remained more or less the same even though when we managed 695/0/0 against T7 when we got the chance. EB would be full on the weekends even back then, I mean there’s been a bit of population increase but I’m quite sure we could have made it up before then.
It seems like us guys over at Kaineng kept you guys down and vice versa and now that we’re not competing against each other we’re both able to rise pretty quick. It’s kind of a shame the scoring kept both of us so low when we’re more competitive than the servers above us. I wouldn’t be surprised if we match up again at T5.
It seems to me that most of Kain’s fight is towards Devs rather than taking out Fergs who could be set to beat us this week. Kudos to Chaster and the other SoS for the zerg last night. If we had a few more popular commanders to lead us around (often there’s none on any of the maps) then Kaineng could really do some damage.
I was thinking about this today. In at least four of the lands, humans are in a battle with the centaurs. The whole circus story seems quite cheap and could definitely be replaced with centaur missions. Perhaps the story will get fleshed out in the future though.
I use it with longbow and love it. With my build I drop entangle, use barrage, target someone in the back then use the number 2 ability and numbers fly like crazy. In WvW the best use it gets is in taking down camps with 2 players but on occasion you can line up two or more player characters but usually the trade off is getting too close to maneuver the line up. I hardly see other players with it though I think the once in a blue moon collateral hit concerns people. I can’t imagine it being practical in PvP however.
Hey guys, I’ve just moved back to my parents for the University holidays and I’m stuck on satellite Internet here. I was wondering what the server IPs are so I can run a few ping checks, Kaineng in particular as I can’t find them anywhere. Also I’m wondering what kind of ping and jitter is appropriate for playing. I understand any PVP isn’t going to be feasible but are there any latency restrictions to PVE?
Haha this was hilarious, I managed to stay on for all of it, after everyone got lagged up I was able to use a few of my abilities with only a 10 second delay. Karka will live in infamy.
oh look.
Elementalist. Please NERF Mesmer…… and Buff me.
Anyways. I agree that the Dolyak reward should be returned. Put some limits on it though. So that we don’t get half the population doing a single escort.
One user should get to ride the Dolyak firing from its back and be the only one that gets the reward…. I want to go to there.
I must admit, I did have to shout at a commander for being destructively indecisive. Commander badge for only 10K badges I completely agree with.
I think siege and QuarterMaster upgrades would be much better if only karma were used, even if that involved the karma cost going up. People want to max out their gear so throwing out the best part of a gold coin isn’t appealing until they’ve made sure they’re as good at 1 on 1 as they can be.
I love WvWvW, it’s basically the end game of GW2. I think a big problem for Kaineng is that we were the last US server to fill up, so our players are still getting to the cap and getting the best gear. Besides being weaker players as a result, we hardly ever have people willing to pay out for keep and tower upgrades at the Quartermasters since they’re still after better gear. Me and a friend run a small WvW guild [KITC] so if you’re into a smaller guild then seek me out.
I think once players start fortifying and putting up siege we’ll start to see a lot of improvement.
Lot of math going around and I’m recovering from a massive study session. What kind of weighting range does match score account for in the final grade. I mean is it worth grinding on WvW towards rollover or is that score basically negligible compared to the match result?
… hopefull that makes sense
DR had an impossible to beat population last week, most of the time the best strategy was just skirmish runs on camps and hope the Zerg doesn’t arrive. Taxi were the only guild really putting in the hours while I was on, really need SoS to get some Zergs going again like they had two weeks ago.
