I could do that or just buy a exotic off the tp. This is my first repeat lvl 80 of the same prof so I guess I thought getting the exotic was standard issue unlocking the hot trait.

The fix er upper is because it’s ascended. I am talking about the exotic you get as part of the collection. I have it soulbound on another character. I will put a ticket maybe they can transfer it or something. I had them do it the exotic hot backpack when I deleted before it got upgraded.

Wow that sucks, so I have to do the entire collection and hp train till it’s ascended only to redo the hp train and then use it on the character i really want to play? I wonder what their reasoning is for that? Why not make the exotic account bound rather than soulbound?

Just really quick do you only get the exotic scrapper hammer once or on each character you unlock the trait line? I re-rolled my engi and didn’t get one after unlocking.

Have any of you have video card, fps drop, temp seizing, and sound issues since the Aug. windows 10 update? Not sure if it’s a driver issue, but I haven’t had any problems with the game until last night’s update.

Reminds me a little of the Dragonlance series when Flint dies. A lifetime of battles won and dies of a heart attack while running. Not all heroes go out in a blaze of glory. Poor Tas.

I have never felt so engaged in combat. Maybe ele. But this is more fun. Turrets, flames, explosions all part of a beautifully destructive ballet=)
I dont care if eng is not the the meta for groups it makes me smile.

I want to thank everyone for their feedback first and foremost. I will shopping for a new card it seems. I have Windows 10 now, all chipset, bios, and drivers updated and unfortunately the sudden freeze to black screen continues. I have a hard time believing its a heat issue because even in lower temp situations it seems to happen. Its random and unfortunately since it does freeze to black screen I cannot task manager and kill it. I have to basically restart my computer. I also do not see the event info so getting feedback is tough. I will check out the 980s and 970s as well as the other recommendations.

@abomally my power source is 460w.

Update: I just did some more research, according to more than a few sites the recommended power supply for this card is 500w. Why the hell would Dell make configurations available and not put in the correct power supply?

Yeah I have tried fully uninstalling drivers and reinstalling, checked BIOS, and updated other drivers. I have read that AMD has issues across the board.
If someone has found a definite solution I would definitely try it. I am hoping that AMD addresses it in future updates. Is there a more reliable option for a card?

So I keep getting atimagsys crashes, the most recent one being video_tdr_failure. But unfortunately have had other types of crashes with this card. It’s a brand new computer and the card doesn’t fail unless I am playing gw2. I have researched forums and although there are many possible solutions nothing seems to work.
Here are the specs.
i7 4760
16gb ddr3 ram
2 tb hd
amd radeon r9 270 2gb
win 8.1

So long and short what GPUs have you had success with that have more stable drivers or have worked with gw2?

I just bought a new computer. See below
Dell
xps 8700
i7 4790 8mb cache
16mb ddr3
AMD radeon R9 270 2gb

So when i first got it last Thurs it worked fine. Last night while running around Bloodtide Coast it froze up and I mean everything I couldn’t Task Manager and force quit. The auto-detected settings are high and seem fine for a while, then it just freezes. I did see ATI_MAG_SYS failure the most recent time down in the task tray. I updated my drivers and it didn’t make a difference.
Before I bought this Dell I had a 5 year old Cyber Power PC with AMD Phenom II processor and ATI Radeon 4700 series card. It may not have run high settings but it never seized up and crashed. I have seen some threads both here and on the net but no clear fix. Should I just turn down my graphics? Is it a cooling issue?
