Guild Wars 2

The game is contained in the GW2.dat file found in the GW2 folder. This is the meat and potatoes of the game. The smaller GW2.exe file is just the client that runs it all.

You can quickly install/backup/reinstall GW2 by copying the dat file. I did this when I installed GW2 on my laptop.

You just download the client, and once it starts downloading the main files, close it out and copy/replace the small GW2.dat file in the Guild Wars 2 folder. If your dat file is a bit old, the client will just need to download a few files to catch up to the present.

The weekend is not a good time to transfer to a T1 server. Try late at night during a weekday. Monday or Tuesday at 2-3am PST or something like that.

I think I might want to join a T2 range server. Maybe Desolation or another one?

What interests me about Desolation is that from looking at the leaderboard thing it seems that Desolation jumps back and forth between kitten a lot?

This really appeals to me as matchups are really stagnant on NA T1. I like the idea of actually playing different servers each week. :P

Between Desolation, Far Shiverpeaks, and Gandara, do they all get matched up with different servers each week?

Hey, I’m thinking of playing on the EU WvW server to mix things up from playing on NA servers and wondering if there is much lag for someone connecting to an EU WvW match from the west coast NA.

I’m also wondering what a good EU server to transfer to would be. I just tried out Fort Aspenwood on the NA T2 and it’s a bunch of people just messing around and still beating the other two servers anyway. Guessing a big population imbalance?

Any good competition in EU? Looking for something that will be fun, not just a boring winfest server.
