Howdy all!

Name: The Zephyr Knights

To make a long story short, [WIND] was built over a year ago on August 20th, 2014 starting with only 15 members. In the 6 months it thrived we reached up to 120 members, up until real life got in the way. Now with HoT only a few weeks away, it has been decided to revamp the guild in hopes of bringing veteran and new players together as we step into the further reaches of Tyria together.

In terms of guild progression, we have all of the guild upgrades unlocked. Also, the guild members have access to guild banners as well as in 24hr game buffs.

We have no requirements except to be respectful. We don’t require full-time representation (we understand some people like being a part of other guilds), but we encourage it.

The Guild
The Zephyr Knights [WIND] is a medium sized guild (100+ members) created on August 20th, 2014 on the hope of creating a close knit community. Our home is on Ehmry Bay, but we have friends and members from many servers who have joined our rankings. Some of our members never transfer, it is up to you based on your convenience and whether or not you would like to play WvW with us.

We welcome members of all ages and all walks of life and from all countries. We have members who are in high school to grad school, from part-time jobs to 30+hours a week. Our guild hopes to find a balance between our busy lives in the 21st century. No matter if you are constantly busy at work, or you’re a full-time college student popping online for some in game time on the weekends, you are welcome here. We are also incredibly new player friendly and we do not hesitate to answer your questions, joining you in game to help with your characters personal story, dungeons, crafting, and much more.

We have players with a large range of interests in GW2 who participate in everything from PvE to PvP to WvW. We believe in keeping it casual, everyone is free to participate in any aspect of the game they wish, no one is required to do any activity they do not want to.

I have played GW1 in past years, and slowly migrated myself to GW2 a few months ago. At the moment, I’m really looking for a social/fun/friendly guild to join. My main issue in the past is I’ll join guilds that say this is their mission; I’ll run into guilds with members who stick with their friends and make no attempt to build a connection with newer guildies.

So ideally I’m looking for a guild with mature players (roughly 18+) that’s actually willing to spend the time to socialize and make friendships.

I am more of a PvE player, although I am interested in learning the mechanics of the PvP and WvW gameplay.

There are a lot of heterosexual couples in the game. Every third or fourth renown heart NPC I come across has an oppostite sex sweetheart that they mention. Often their love interest is also in close proximity.

That being said, I’d like to see more relationships in the game that are not romantic in their nature. Friends, comrades in arms and even rivals. People do not talk to each other with the sole purpose of getting laid. Throughout our lives we have far more acquitances, friends and enemies than romantic partners. I feel like the world of Tyria does not reflect that.

I agree 100%. Instead about worrying whose going to romance who. The characters and NPCs in the story should be banding together more (supporting each other, etc), after all, all of the races are facing the same threat: the elder dragons.

I personally prefer human because my main toon is a human mesmer, but Sylvari also works as well too.
