Just came here to ask if that’s still the problem? I mean I never really understood ANets reason for slow content releases, they haven’t announced a expansion so there is no reason really?
Maybe they try to look up to WoW who doesn’t release content for a year, but they at least have a reason for that (expansion).
Nevertheless, not going to discuss that here, just came here to ask if that’s still the problem.

Check those links. My advice would be to get a CPU that scores 1400 or higher in the 1st link and 4000 or higheri n the second link. Then make sure its a 4core.

The above link try get a GPU above a score of 1500.
Thanks, but I think I already decided
That CPU, 370K is an AMD A6-6xxx without the graphics part. While it’s roughly 60% faster than your current CPU, it’s still two cores and GW2 works a lot better with 3 or more cores. Plus it’s a different socket. The nVidia GT 610 is a joke, your current card is likely much faster.
The X3 450 is an older K10 CPU and is only 25% or so faster but it does have a third core so you should see more than a 25% gain you would get from a K10 based duel core like the 7450 running at the same clock rate as the X3 450 like the X2 260. Also enabling the extra core isn’t a guaranteed thing, sometimes it’s disabled for a good reason.
The HD 6570 should be much better than your card and I don’t think you would need more at that resolution and targeted frame rate. But still WvW and large events with lots of players are going to stress the CPU more than the video card so those events will still suffer somewhat.
Thank you for your answer.
From what I understood, If I get the X3 450 and HD 6570 I’m going to be having 30 fps at medium-ish settings with fps drops in WvW and large events, that I am okay with.
Currently not even at ultra low I cannot handle wvw, spvp or even 15+ mobs around me, and that will be a great improvment for me.
Thanks.
Thank you for being so chill about my bad critisism.
Well, like most avid gamers, I do not play only GW2, mostly I do, but there are other games also.
I was wondering if this would work :
Radeon HD 6570 (could go higher)
AMD Athlon II X3 450
EDIT: I was thinking of updating the CPU to 4C and OC-ing it.
For medium-ish settings around 1280×1024 resolution with 30+ ish fps? I do not need mroe.

Also i cant seem to help but watch this.

Battlefield runs great on even lower than that CPU.
Thank you for your answer.
Suprisingly, I run Guild Wars 2 currently with Medium settings. I am just annoyed that I randomly get fps drops every 60 – 240seconds-ish. And with that I get 20+ fps that I am satisfied with.
I apriciate your answer though I believe you are wrong due to the fact that you thought that I could not even run the game. :/
EDIT: I also appriciate you telling me 610 sucks.
Thank you Kasylx for your information. I am trying to get a processor first indeed.
I was always told to pack a good processor before a graphics card
Wow thank you guys, I really do not need the Ultra or even High preformace. I’m satisfied with normal just that THERE IS NO GOD kitten FPS DROPS every kitten ed 30 seconds xD
I would like to know how would the combination
CPU – AMD Athlon II X2 370K
Video Card – GeForce GT 610 2GB
work on guild wars 2, like what options/resolution I could run (medium, high etc.)
Also if you could compare it to my
Processor: AMD Athlon™ 7450 Dual-Core Processor
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series
how good is it compared to that?
@Nilgoow.1037
I like how you bashed my graphics and my pc the other thread when you said “I didn’t know they released GW2 for the Sega Genesis.”, and now you’re helping me get a better preformance xD
Yeah, I just heard about newegg. Thank you for your tips
Thank you, both of you.
Though it is alot of money that I currently do not have. I will just get the CPU and the RAM then, the graphics card will have to wait… even though it is very cheap :/
@Nilgoow.1037 I could spend 200$ if it is worth it. And I choose that resolution because for some reason it ran the smoothest with least fps drops.
@tota.4893 I actually updated my motherboard, ASRock N68C-GSFX (8 core cpu ready, am3+ cpu support).
Do you have any medium CPU’s that you recommend? And also how much RAM should I add?
I was actually thinking I should upgrade one at a time. That is why I am posting here, what to upgrade first to improve my gw2.
Budget currently not set, though I would really like to be able to play on medium-ish settings without fps lag. 1380×1024 is the resolution I play on and I’m satisfied with it.
I’m not a hardcore gamer, I dont really care about 60 fps and all time quality, I just play to have fun.
My computer is a peice of junk, now that I have some extra money I was wondering what should I upgrade first to improve my gw2 expirience?
