Three Tyrian Moons

This is virtually impossible according to physics. Such a resonation makes for a very unstable orbit. For the same reason it’s impossible for an “anti-earth” to exist on the opposite side of the sun. It is a theory that pops up often in layman’s brains though it doesn’t have any scientific merit.

I don’t want to pull the cop out ’It’s fantasy’ but at the same time…

Seriously dude. There’s no indication that real world physics play the same role in Tyria that they do on Earth. Yes, gravity exists but we don’t know the weight of anything so who can say whether it’s on the same scale as the real world? Also, MAGIC. Maybe the second/third/seventh moon is actually a bloodstone (/tinfoil).

Obviously this couldn’t work in the real world. But in Tyria? It might.

Server Changes

Hello there.

I, like some of you, have a guild that is transferring servers. Unfortunately, we are headed to one of the servers that is almost always full, and as such some of us have resorted to camping the World list instead of actually playing the game. Many of us are becoming frustrated, and with the lockout looming we are worried that we will have to pay, gold or actual money, in order to play with our guild mates.

“But Dornath,” you say, "Guesting means you won’t have to move servers to play with your guild!

Ahh, how right you are. Except my guild is primarily focused on WvW. If I’m stuck on IoJ and we’ve transferred to SoS, I can’t participate in the majority of the guild activities. And it’s those activities that I joined the guild to participate in!

So what I propose:

Ideal situation: Raise the server cap and/or allow server transfers for longer.

Either one of thsoe would be excellent, but I realize that both require a fair amount of work and would probably result in some outcry. Fair enough.

Useful situation: Allow us to ‘queue’ for the server we want to transfer to.

Seriously. Some people in my guild have been staying awake until 4 AM so that they can transfer servers. They have work, and lives. Yeah, we could just accept the fact that we might not make it over and fork over some fake money to do it later. But honestly? That’s crap. We deserve the right to play this game how we want, with WHOM we want. If we’re locked out of our guild’s server for arbitrary reasons there are a LOT of us who will be kitten A lot of them bought the game solely for WvW, and while we could find new guilds, why should we have to. We LIKE our guild. We don’t want to have to find new friends because we got locked out of a server.

So please ANet, help us join our friends.

Is Abaddon stronger than Elder Dragons?

I think it depends somewhat on how malicious the dragons are right now. Only Zhaitan (and I suppose Jormag) has shown signs, as far as I can tell, of actually trying to make incursions into the rest of Tyria from its own domain. I don’t doubt that they would eventually, but I think if all or even one of the dragons actually got up and exerted all their powers to trash somewhere, it’d be pretty trashed.

Actually we’re told that the Brand is expanding by the mere presence of the Sentinels. They’re there to halt the expansion of the Brand, not just the Branded. I’m pretty sure it’s been mentioned that the Brand itself is expanding.

And Primordus is constantly attacking and pushing to break through to the surface. We only see a few Destroyers, nowhere near the extent of the Icebrood/Risen/Branded, but remember that the Dwarves conducted the Rite of the Great Dwarf and became stone, then travelled off into the Depths of Tyria to fight them where they remain to this day.

Basically, we see the effects of ED attacks everywhere we go. The game has just been a little more focused on Zhaitan and Jormag.

Galrath wasn´t a wizard, nor was he owner of that tower.
Verata wasn´t either as far as i remembered, somebody go check the wiki for me

But wasn’t Galrath close to opening the castle and using it’s power? I thought that was why we had to stop him.

In either case, I would love for someone to give out the info that they have on the tower in Wizard’s Folly. It was such an awesome place, neither Krytan/Orrian/Ascalonian in design.

That is the Wizards Castle.

I read somewhere that it can be moved by it’s controller…

Hey folks.

Those of you who played Prophecies will remember going through Wizard’s Folly and seeing the gigantic Wizard’s Tower. This is where Elementalists (And those looking to try to profession out) learned some of their most frequently used spells.

Given that we weren’t able to access this after after the Searing, what do we think happened there? Is the tower still standing? Is it tied to the wizard Galrath of Wizard’s Peak?

Please, discuss.
