The genie says exactly where to go… i.e. down to the lab in rata sum
You dont need the dodge jump for this… you just get as close to the corner of the flower one as you can get (inch around the spikes) and make it a good jump. I know how to do it and i still make it only about 60% of the time.
Is it too hard? Respect the awesome work

Just my thoughts…
I LOVE the difficulty right now, it makes for a very rewarding experience… I imagine some folks just need to learn the mechanics of each level. It’s been a long time since I have been so motivated to play through a game like this.
I very much enjoy the length of each zone, 2-2 took the longest the first time 1.5 hours, but the second time through was about 30 min.
The only real issue I see is the geyser part of 2-1… This part seemed a bit buggy? Or at least the geysers were not working as it seemed they should. Once I learned the characteristics of how they are set up, it went much more smooth. Though the river current really got annoying watching as i would tumble then stop and tumble and stop… until i hit something or went over the edge.
still up on piken
depends on the enemy… but in PvE and D/D I usually:
Start with Fire
Use 3 skill (charge with blast) to initiate combat followed by 4 skill (fire ring) followed by the arcane blast utility skill.
Then I dodge, use 2 skill to burn and 5 skill which gets + dmg to burning.
Switch to Earth
use 4 skill to knockdown, then 5 skill (long channel with high bleed) while channeling i use utility blind to reduce taken dmg/interupts.
Then use 2 skill to bleed more
Switch to water
3 skill to freeze, 4 skill to freeze who atks me, 2 skill for dmg
Switch to air
5 skill to knockdown and 4 skill to close range
Then whatever the situation calls for.
All this usually happens in a very short amount of time
Im interested in joining, with one caveat…
While I would love to join you in all aspects of the game, I am currently representing another guild, which will remain my “represented” guild. So that will not help with your influence
If you are just looking for players to run dungeons, WvW, ect with let me know

Gates of Madness
Hey everyone!
I am looking for secondary guilds on the Gates of Madness server. I currently am in my primary guild, but I am looking for more people to run dungeons/PvE and WvW/PvP with.
FYI I will not be “representing” my secondary guilds, but I will join in guild events/dungeons.
I have a 80 Ele with story completed.
I also have all other char slots filled with various lower level characters I want to play

Wow, nice guide
That looks like it should be pretty comprehensive when it is finished!
At the beginning of the game I was stacking as much power as I could, since the early mobs are easy to dodge. Later in the game this is impractical since mobs have various CC skills that prevent you from dodging and moving, and the “glass cannon” approach doesn’t work very well, which is why I am switching to Vit and Toughness and condition damage.
Right now, my traits are 20 in fire, 20 in earth, 10 in water and 20 in arcane. I haven’t bought the last trait book, as this setup is working nicely. I would start off with fire traits, then add earth.

Hello!
I happen to be an elementalist as well!
I just hit level 80 the other day, so it will be hard to remember low level issues. I play dual dagger the VAST majority of the time. Up to about level 60 I was using the fire skills almost exclusively. With only one utility skill slot, I would use arcane blast. The typical fight at that low level would go:
Line up, then use 3 skill to charge and blast (distance is critical since blast does more damage.
Then use 4 skill to create a ring of fire, and immediately use arcane blast to get the fire ring combo.
I would then dodge and use 2 skill to burn them, and then the 5 skill which does more damage to burning enemies.
That would usually get their health pretty low, and i would be running around them while doing this. Normally switch to water and use the 3 skill to chill and 2 skill to finish them off.
This works great until you hit higher level areas, where you need to learn all 20 skills and when to use them (not as hard as it sounds)
Also I find that Bleeds (earth skills) are pretty amazing and bypasses toughness, so lately I have been stacking condition damage to get high bleeds while i run around the enemy.
Remember that every battle is different, and being an elementalist, you need to adapt more than other classes, but thats what all our skills are for
Hope this helps a little!

Hello Everyone,
We are Not in the Face Gaming, a small Guild on the Gate of Madness server. We are looking to increase our size with casual to moderately-hardcore gamers. We play a variety of games, with the vast majority of our time lately dedicated to GW2!
We all help each other out, we have a level 80 and a few level 60s, increasing their level fast. We play every aspect of the game – PvE, PvP, WvW, and dungeons.
We have a guild emblem and at least level 2 in all Guild upgrades.
Most of our players are on the East Coast.
