Guild Wars 2

I’ve been playing off and on since release but I haven’t even finished the original storyline. I’m wondering if it would be best to try and finish the story from the beginning or go ahead and do the current living story content and just go back to the old stuff when possible?

I’m not going to say I have no intention of raiding but I have not touched them yet. I mainly just solo or try to solo whatever I can. The only times I’ve renamed up with anyone us just for content I couldn’t complete myself or in situations where teaming up got me better loot haha. But yeah I plan to solo whatever I can

I played revenant at 80 but felt it was lack luster but was told it becomes a lot more fun once you fully unlock herald which seems like a lot of grinding, which i dont mind but not if its gonna be a horrible choice. How does reaper hold up? Is base Necro fun to play as well?

So as the title says I’m looking for a class to exclusively play pve with. I have not played any pvp or wvw and have no intention to at the moment. I have leveled up Rev to 40 and I’m enjoying it so far but herald is a far ways off and I hear that’s where it gets real enjoyable. I’ve also been wanting to try out Necro cause I’m a fan of dot damage/ape damage and they seem like a class that will fit that bill but I’m not really sure where they sit in terms of dps/enjoyability on a whole. Thanks for any insight

I got the primeval armor for one of my toons and equipped, but when I went to change the dye colors I noticed that some of the pieces were dyed colors I don’t even own, like black and gunmetal. Is that normal?

I’m going to be running a 0/5/30/30/5 or a 0/0/30/30/10 build with AH and EM. My main weapon will be a GS though i’m stuck on what would be better for secondary. I can see the staff being better for heals while i’m in a group, but Hammer being alright with it’s protection. I’m not a big fan of the sword and the scepter is pretty broken.

So what do you think would be better for the PvE oriented with occasional dungeon running. Swapping weapons for each is alright.

I would like to not use the mouse but I find it too handy to just point and click stuff.

I just got a staff skin on the zone 2 boss solo. Probably 40-50 chests. If that helps at all

Just out of curiosity I am wondering how everyone controls their characters. Do you find it easier to do battles controlling you character with the mouse(movement and camera rotation) and letting your other hand do your skills, or do you use the WASD buttons to move your character?

I find myself using the wasd in battle, though my hands seem cluttered trying to hit all the abilities.

So i’ve been gone since before the start of the Flame and Frost and i’m wondering is there anything I need to know to start the event/participate? Or items/achievements I can obtain before this is over?

Yes! That’s the shield. His armor had a similar look to it as well. Is there anything like that?

I was playing in Kessex today and saw a Guardian in armor I havent seen before and was wondering if anyone knew what it is off hand since I didnt get to take a pic of it.

He had a big shield that looked like glass along with his armor.
