I am all for your suggestion of new maps. I think to keep balance, the outer borderlands would need to remain the same as they are now. As for EB, that could be a map that cycles through a set of new maps each week (except perhaps during seasons.)
By cycling the maps I think it would rejuvenate long-time players of WvW while also keeping the content fresh and from being over-played.
Not getting into the whole discussion on WHEN arenanet is getting into developing personal homes, etc, but I would prefer to have guild halls that could be customized and upgraded. Actually being able to see the “treasure trove” or “deep cave” would be cool as well.
Another option would be having guild halls initially, and then going to a portal or asura gate within the guild hall that allows you to select a guild members personal home or room, or type their name in, assuming they aren’t in guild or it’s just easier for you.
But definitely prefer to see guild halls first – builds community better than personal home instances.
Since the new build was released this last week I’ve been experiencing a lot of lag as well as login issues.
On multiple accounts I can’t run dungeons because I either get dc’d part way through the dungeon – or the lag is so awful it becomes impossible.
Not sure what is causing this – I have my ports open for GW2 in my firewall, and the computer was running the game just fine prior to the new build being released. I can run any other game with no problems – often running @ 50 ping.
I’ve received the following errors:
7:11:3:189:101 / 42:1000:9001:4119:101
I believe if you read the section on guilds, that is what ANET will be working on. They will target guilds to do specific quests in the world – thus bringing people back to areas that are less frequented – so we can assume.
Put the bag last in slot. Problem solved.
But if you do that, players will ignore their personal story until they’ve leveled to 80 and then will farm the stories for gear – making it a broken system.
@Digiowl – potentially due to rangers being able to name their pets? Not sure why either.
@Daishi – I’ve noticed this too, while at times it will blow up the lower health one instead. There appears to be no rhyme or reason to which one is killed.
@Chrollo – I hope that day is coming soon!
Mock up below – forgive my photoshop skills – they aren’t quite the best, but you get the idea. The middle of each icon would be health or blood levels. Clearly anet could produce something that looks cleaner, but the idea is this.
The black/purple smoke behind it was inspiration from the guardian class.
Might try making a mock-up of how it could look, even if it’s just icons for each of the minions with hollow insides that are different ‘levels’ of blood depending on the pets hp.
If ranger’s pets have health bars, necros should too, not to mention @zogyark point.
Please add this. I’d like to be able to know when my blood fiend is going to die so I can pop it for the health boost, or bone minions, etc etc.
@zargnath – i followed up to the exact area, and found that I hadn’t gotten chantry of secrets, but had gotten the whole of bloodtide coast done.
Looked in the cave and found portal – turns out it was chantry! Thanks for the tip!!
Yeah, I have full completion for bloodtide coast
Just finished up the last zone on my character. Went to check world map, have the following:
301/301 hearts
507/507 waypoints
716/717 points of interest
202/202 skill points
266/266 vistas
That being said, I’m only missing one skill point – or so I thought. I went back through every zone in the game (including all 4 WvW zones) and double checked that I hadn’t missed anything. After a hefty toll from waypoints (let’s be honest, who’s going to double check it via running) and a good 20 minutes later I reached the last possible zone and it still showed up as being 100% completed. All zones were 100% finished. I have no clue where I could find this last point of interest.
Not sure if this is a bug or what, but I’ve worked to get the world completion, and I’m apparently missing a POI that doesn’t exist. I’ve also experienced through the course of leveling my character that in-game it will say I have 50% world completion (for instance) but when I go to the character select screen it would say 49% completion. Is this missing POI some remnant of a earlier bug?
Looking forward to hearing back as I’m anxious to get my world completion done and taken care of.
EDIT – adding attachment of world completion reference.
It’s annoying is what it is. No reason for the change.
I noticed commanders get icons that show up on minimap and main map…. which is fine. I do think that they should only show up in WvW or PvP situations, because inevitably a lot of players will end up with these titles (down the road) and i don’t want my map cluttered with all their icons/names when I’m in a capital.
I would love to see an in-game calendar for guilds (at the minimum) that will allow members to schedule social events, pvp matches, set up teams, WvW, etc. so that everyone can stay on the same page.
The guilds can research things like bonus gathering, bonus karma, and so on, but I feel like it is unorganized on getting information quickly to guild members, especially if people have different schedules. Having a calendar that tells members we will be activating a certain buff on day X/Y would be really nice so people can plan ahead.
