Clocktower jumping puzzle - last jump

I made it to the top several time, and it ALWAYS misses the last jump. I’ve watched videos and do the same as them, and it teleports me to the beginning instead of inside.

I tried joining a new instance like some people suggested, but it was even worse. I would be jumping along fine, and get randomly teleported to the start. The green water wasn’t even anywhere close!

I was able to do this puzzle fine last year. Please get these bugs sorted out. Its ridiculous.

Swimming between zones

I get what you’re saying, but they don’t have to teleport you to the exact position you would be in the next zone. Maybe have 2 or 3 designated spots along the edge of the water in the next map, and it puts you at the closest one.

I always found it strange how some maps would share a huge body of water between them, but you’re not able to swim to the next zone.

Instead of having a “You can not swim any further” message, why not have a “You are entering the next zone, keep swimming to continue” message?

For example, the south-west area in Sparkfly Fen. You should be able to swim south to Straits of Devastation. It’s just one of those little things that would add a lot to the immersion.

Thief Steal Idea

Well they could add a brief cooldown before being able to use a stolen skill again. That would eliminate the possibility of the 8 second daze you were talking about.

Unbind items

They should just add a gem store item that unbinds items. They make money, we get to reuse/sell our old gear.

Idea for Steal

Well I mostly play PvE, so I usually save stolen items for bosses and while running around the map, the ability to use Steal for mobility while saving my item would be nice. And in combat, it does make a good gap closer. I don’t want to be forced to use my stolen item, especially since some are hard to come by.

Currently, I rarely press F1. If my suggestion were to be implemented, I know I would be using the class mechanic alot more. And after all the nerfs that the thief has gotten, I don’t really see my suggestion as being overpowered. If anything, it will bring the class back on par with other classes’ mechanics.

I know you are planning on reworking steal in the future to maybe add an out of combat shadowstep for mobility, however I like to find a good item and carry it around until I really need it. Because of this, I am unable to use my steal skill again until I use the item.

My suggestion: Have F1 as Steal, and F2 as the item you have stolen. That way, you can still use Steal once the cooldown is up, you just won’t get another item because you already have one stored in your F2 slot. Along with an out of combat shadowstep as F1, this would make the thief steal mechanic so much better.

If you are feeling generous, you could even make F2-F4 stolen item skills, so we can store up to 3 items to use when the time is right. This would not only add more strategy to the thief, but make it more fun to play and make the class mechanic actually feel like something significant.

Mesmer Dodge Distortion

Title self explanatory. I think it would be cool if the mesmer got a distortion effect during their dodge roll, purely cosmetic.

But they already gave that to thief!

Well mesmer has other distortion moves so it makes more sense. Thief should go invisible for a split second when he dodges…

Where are the town clothes?

Yeah I find the lack of town clothes strange. Keeping fancy outfits in the gem store is understandable (although selection is limited at the moment), but there should be several pieces of normal town clothes in game like t-shirts and pants available from merchants. We need more variety!

Please Reconsider Legendary Weapons

I agree with the OP completely. I have absolutely no desire to get a legendary weapon. I am having fun playing the game how I want to play it and well… having fun. Grinding gold and materials for ridiculous hours is… not fun at all. On top of that, there aren’t enough variety in legendaries and none that I really like anyways.

Broom Sweep

It would be cool and lots of fun if you added a 2 skill to the gem store broom that let your character sweep the floor!
