Hi API Devs,

I’ve been experimenting with numerous AN API’s in a ‘live view’ sort of situation and was wondering if any you experienced api devs could give some feedback into item updates. Specifically, in your own experience, how often would you say an item changes? Is there anywhere that changes are noted? I would assume after each patch? I am unsure if items can change mid version.

I’m looking at ways to fine tune and optimize my calls to this interface so any hindsight would be greatly appreciated. My thinking is to cache the results locally and use these until the Cache-Control expires or the client and or server is patched.

What are the differences between the commerce/listings and commerce/prices api’s at present? From what I can tell and a SHA-1 hash of each they are identical and have been for numerous hours.

Is it safe to assume that each is identical and only the id query will result in a different data set?

If so from a developer perspective, why not just maintain the 1 API for listings?

I’ve been playing since release on and off. I love the game, i love the lore, but this still feels like most other mmo’s out there. It still isn’t guild wars. I guess I am bitter they stopped developing the original, i put a lot of time into it developing my Heroes and my characters, devising ways to solo crazy missions with specially customized heroes. I wish GW2 had that same feeling.

I will of course buy GW2 Heart of Thorns but i feel the old game is lost….

I had 250 Gems, I bought 4000 gems transaction number: 34459636 so
my balance was then 4250
I bought one of those jack in the box sickles for 800 and received it in the mail (equipped it) my balance was 3450
I then bought one of the Bone Picks for 800 so my balance is now 2850 however I haven’t received the Bone Pick item as of yet and it doesn’t appear in recent transactions but the gems have been subtracted.
