I’m posting just to say that I bought Miniature Spooky Trio, on the “Minis” tab. I received the e-mail getting the box, bla bla, I clicked on it and it gave me 3 pets, I could use it when I wanted when I bought it… But, guess what?! After I logged out and logged in again, I had no pets.

What happened? My lovely pets weren’t cheap, so… There’s any way Arena.net will help me getting my pets back? I have screenshots of the proccess buying it, etc.

By the way, I don’t know if there’s posts talking about this already, but I had to post this immediatly, since I have to leave the PC for today, and Halloween is almost ending, and when it ends… I doubt that I’ll be able to have my pets back….

And apparently people (ANet included, since nothing has been done) seem to think GW2 is fine and no optimization is needed or will happen in the future which basically means don’t even try playing the game in WvW or large events. Oh, unless you have a thousand dollar video card and same price processor, etc. since this game is unrealistically demanding for the average PC.

I too, can literally run any other game on the market right now in max, in any area, with 45+ FPS I think I’ve only seen a drop to 40 once. In GW2, I get 10 or less in heavy area’s.

Thank you for sharing your situation, etc. I’m “glad” there are people who understand that games also fail in their optimization, not only our PC’s.

I have a virtual friend, which is World of Warcraft FANBOY. He bought one of the most expensive and best PC compositions ever, his graphic card costed 950 euro (unfortunately I don’t really remember the name of the graphic card). I’m sure he will be able to play even Titan (inc 2015 MMO RPG game) with high graphics with cool FPS’s. But, guess what? He sent his PC back so the store could “fix” the unfixable, he thinks WoW MoP is perfect and FPS issues are ALWAYS PC’s fault, which is a wrong way of thinking.

A guy in this topic ( don’t really remember his name and don’t even gonna check ) flamed me because I should buy a new and better PC, hahaha. So, that means when Minecraft came out and not even PC’s with 2 top 1000€ graphic cards could handle that game, those people should buy a better PC? XD

May I ask what Operating System your using? I know you said Windows 7, but is it 32 bit or 64?

I know when I was using Windows Xp 32 bit home edition, my FPS were on average 22 FPS. Thats “with” a clean installation.

After I installed Windows 7 64 bit, I expected a small 5 to 10 fps increase. I was SHOCKED when I started cranking out 60 fps in most area’s and 45 in heavily far out looking area’s. I have NEVER dropped below 30 fps!!!

Its like it was the cure I was looking for!

Please tell us if your windows 7 is 32 bit or 64. I know it worked for me, but i’m curious if your suffering from these performance issues because you have a 32 bit going, which limits your memory heavily! I noticed a all round improvement to all my video games now since going 64 bit and never been happier!

What are you even complaining about ? You can play the game fine as it is the way i see it,do you realize there are people here that play the game with 5 – 15 fps Everywhere they go ? You complain about having 40 – 50 ? The game needs some optimization,as shown in the hundreds of threads available about this issue,we know this,nothing you can do about it right now.Btw,just keep everything at HIGH,Lod to Ultra,and only turn down reflections to either off,or terrain sky only.Theres something wrong with reflections.Perf hit is to big for what it does.

Well, I said I was bad with forums, so… That’s why I decided to post my PC comp.
Also, I have all the rights to complain, I’ll say this loudly > I DONT CARE IF OTHERS HAVE 1 FPS < I work hard and I abused on the price to play GW in ultra, wasted all MY MONEY ( not your money ), 40 (or even less in a lot of areas) for me isn’t enough, I’ve been playing games with ridiculous FPS’s with my old PC, I didn’t pay for a nice one, I deserved low FPS’s, now its different, in life, you will want what you worked/paid for, at least I’m not like 90% of the population who want to claim their money back in World of Warcraft and some other games just because the game was 1 day offline, I’m not even saying that I’ll stop play or something.

I already know that nothing can be done, some people answered a lot trying to help, that’s cool, but I guess I can only overclock the CPU as some people suggested while waiting for a better optimization. Other than that, this post can be deleted to be honest…

zerk, the build on my topic is mine, 1100€ pc btw, my friend’s build is much worse, but he can play everything, except… guess what? xD same issues as me… and yes, I loved your answered, helped a lot to let me know what’s happening, cheers!

Oh dude, I WOULDN’T buy a 12837219312723€ price PC like some people suggest. My friend bought a 700€ PC and he can play all the games in peace, 60 FPS… 0 FPS issues. Believe me, its not always about the PC, the games have to be optimized… Guild Wars 2 is a recent game and the optimize is ongoing, my PC costed 1100€, I can play everything, even Dishonored, all the massive graphical games you can imagine in peace… But I can’t play GW in peace, I even made a topic few minutes ago talking about it… I read a post where a developer said he wanted to put the game running perfectly on the most recent PC’s (like mine)… Its a terrible feeling to buy a beast machine like mine and get only 40 FPS’s in LA for example… >-<" So, you better go for something simple ( 1000€ max ), because if you’re going for 2000€ and you get the same FPS issues as me, you’ll cry an ocean, not a river.

I didn’t read all the replys, probably someone talked about this mouse before but, I would go for:

Razer Naga ( there are a lot of editions, I use the Molten Edition )

Couldn’t be better, AMAZING looking mouse, its so soft, so perfect, you can create a bilion of keybindings on it, do all your DPS rotations on your mouse without having to use your keyboard, ofc its amazing to use your keyboard, but sometimes its much better to use keyboard just to move 100% perfectly without “stumble” your fingers.

Everyone have their likes/dislikes.

My vote goes for – RAZER NAGA (Molten Edition)

btw, there are some Molten Edition versions on the internet without the Razer Naga Logo on it, for the original version you better check in the official website.

Well Cbuzz, the thing is, you’re right, I can’t compare games, I just play ALL games without any FPS issue, 0%. Even RPG’s like WoW MoP. And yes, there’s a lot of ways to check if your PC will run correctly a game that hasn’t been released, and I’m not only talking about “Can you run it?!” feature.

Its not about opinion Cbuzz, you’re getting mad at me without any reason xD Since even developers admitted that they are working too slow on it, but they want to put it working perfectly, I dont know if you have a clue or not, but the game is even using D9 only, it SHOULD use D11.

I won’t buy a better PC, I bought this one just for GW2, and I abused on the price, 500€ was more than enough, EVERYONE ( more than 100 people on foruns, etc. told me that ) and I made one which costed 1100€ +.

I will repeat – I can play ALL the games you tell me to buy, in max graphics, max FPS, enough said about that.

Well, its not EPIC the way people are thinking, ofc. Since there are Graphic Cards who cost the same as my entire PC. But it can be a beast since it will handle 100% Far Cry and I’m playing a lot of other epic 2012 games, like Dishonored.

I believe that you can get 60 FPS everywhere. But, GW is “nothing” compared to a lot of Single Player games, when it comes to graphics, general art and design, etc. Like in other games, I should’ve been playing with 60 everywhere aswell, excepct in WvWvW and or dragon battles like The Shatterer, etc.

So, I TRULY believe that its an issue about the game’s optimization, so I would love to know if there’s a drive, or a way to put things better until they optimize the game (theres a devs post where they talk about it), or there’s a link/something/anything, where I can post my PC composition so arena.net can check it out.

First of all, before I get epicly flamed, I would like to apologize for openning a new topic to talk about this, since probably there are a bilion of other posts like this one. I’ve never been good in forums, etc.

I came here to share my PC composition, and I would like to say > that this PC will be ready to play Far Cry in maximum graphics mode, and I’m also able to play a lot of other 2012 games in “best appearence” at the moment, without FPS issues. <

Sometimes, in a few areas I get 60 FPS, but there are also a LOT of maps where I’m always getting 40 ( more or less ), Lion’s Arch its just horrible, I get almost the same FPS’s as my old PC in Lion’s Arch (old PC costed me like 500€ in 2006, my new PC is a BEAST compared to my old one). Also, there are situations when I aim my camera to the floor (eg: Citadel of Flame) I get weird FPS, its like 10 FPS’s but can move the camera “normally”, its not like 10 FPS “photos-mode” x)

My PC Settings:

CPU – INTEL CORE i5 3570K (3.4GHZ) SKT 1155
Graphic Card – MSI GTX660 Ti POWER EDITION OC 2GB DDR5 PCI-E
Motherboard – ASROCK Z77 PRO4
RAM – 2x CORSAIR 8GB DDR3 1600MHZ VENGEANCE (CL9 – 1.5V)
Cooler – ZALMAN CNPS11X EXTREME

I have Windows 7
DirectX11
Graphic C. Driver – NVIDIA 306.97 (most recent one for gtx660 I guess)

And, that’s it… I would like to know what’s happening… I know that the game is recent and its not totally optimized. But there are a lot of people who play in “peace”, without this kind of issues.
Its the first time I post info about my PC, so, let me know if the information above isn’t enough and you need more. Also, let me know if there’s a specific place where I can post my PC settings so arena.net can check that out since I read a post where devs said he wanted GW to work perfectly in every different PC composition.
