I’m done, I quit just yesterday actually. I don’t see the point anymore.
The FPS problem is on their end, they either refuse to fix it, or are just unable to.
They ignore everyone entirely.
This is my last forum post as I really just want to put it up there that we are not getting anything from Arenanet in the foreseeable future. Thank you.
AshleySegovia, I don’t understand. When I opened my ticket, we ruled out all of the above through many trials and responses, and eventually it ended with “It’s our client”.
Knowing this, why can’t you release some player side tool that we can use to diagnose the game when we try and play, then send you the results. That way you could see what the problem was and fix it. After a few months “Hang tight” won’t work anymore.
We need resolution, or at least some actions to help get it all on the right path. This thread here alone was ignored for at least a week without a response. What is frustrating is that you seem to still be focused on other people’s machines, when the evidence has shown that a lot of cases, are the client itself. It’s been a month, if your only just getting started with the issue now….what hope do I have of playing the game I bought, anytime in 2012 year?
These two questions go out to anyone in development who can answer them.
1- We haven’t heard so much as word on the FPS lag issue since someone tried to suggest a method for information gathering that didn’t work, they said they would get back, and never did.
Is ANYTHING being done about the issue, anything at all?
2- If so, will a fix be out in 2012 do you think?
Experience shows that if a developer doesn’t fix these issues within the first month of a launch, it never gets done or it can’t be done. Hence the concern.
It’s a hardware bug with the client. All you can do is wait a few more months with the rest of us. and hope they fix it…
8120 FX @ 3.4 Ghz
Radeon 6850 1GB
8 GB RAM
Regardless of Settings, around 12-18 FPS No matter where I am.
Well, I can’t play because of the FPS bug, they refused to refund me a dime….. soo good luck.
You already know the answer to your question.
So all you can do is wait endlessly like the rest of us.
Well yeah, but we ruled out EVERYTHING, to the point they either know it’s the client and won’t openly admit it. Or for some reason they think this hardware should only be able to run the game on low with 10-20 fps.
My issue is that we are hearing NOTHING about this. they even said they won’t issue a refund either. So what am I to do? I payed full retail price, and can’t play it because they were not even remotely ready to launch the game.
Not much point in tickets guys, after 20 days of non stop relentless information gathering, all drivers etc are up to date, this is how it ended:
Hello,
Thank you for the updated information. From all the diagnostics we have done, your computer is running as well as it can with Guild Wars 2. Please keep an eye on the official forums (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech). Updates regarding performance and framerate issues will be posted there as soon as they become available.
If there is anything else we can assist with, please let me know.
Apparently if I have this hardware, I should expect 12 FPS average on lowest settings?
Running on a 8120 FX Processor
Radeon 6850 1GB
8 GB DDR3 Ram

Well the problem is they know it’s a problem. they don’t know what is causing it or how to fix it. Once the issue is identified, it will probably be fixed in like 24 hours, I’ve provided so much information to support already, I have a feeling it won’t be too long now.
