Hey, so I bought GW2 in 2014 I believe and played it a bit before re-dedicating myself to WoW, something I sorely regret. As a returning player, I’m obviously a bit lost and before I start playing again, I’d love some clarification if at all possible.
1. Since I purchased the game well before it went F2P, are there any bonuses I receive for it? It’s cool if not, just curious.
2. What are some big changes I should look forward to or know about since HoT has released.
3. What are some smaller changes I should be aware of?
4. Is there more PvE now even if I don’t buy HoT immediately.
Alright well I guess I’ve just been being stubborn I suppose. Thinking about the way you guys said the learning curve i exactly opposite of other MMOs, it really does seem like a better system. I’ll definitely give it a chance.
I have a level 5 engineer and a level 5 necromancer.
I’ve gotten about 5 hours play time on my Necromancer and 6 hours on my Engineer and it seems like the leveling process is incredibly slow. I’m not sure if I’m looking at the game like a normal MMO or if its legitimately slow but either way, I just feel like I’m leveling up way, way too slow. I’m not saying I want to hit level 80 in two weeks, I just think I should be progressing instead of getting really close to 100% in a few starter areas and just getting a couple, literally, level ups. And there’s not a single quest line yet. It’s just random events. Advice? :L
As stated in the title, I haven’t ever played anything involving Guild Wars 1 or 2 as well as any of the expansions, obviously, so I’m in need of some advice. What should I be careful of, what should I keep in mind, etc?
