I don’t understand why people run away from the most simple tactic.

2-3 dudes focus on the champ, the rest clear trash and focus boss when there are no trash.

That’s how I teach my PUG party to do TA, no wipes, hardly any deaths, done in around 5 to 8 min.

If that is too much time for hardcore community, feel free to get everyone to spike the boss and hope that your party can dodge and stuff.

I’ve joined 4 days and and I’m telling you, you need only 1 tPvP match with them to truly feel how great the community. That’s what happened to me. Even if you don’t like tPvP, there are many other things our members like to do.

I am writing as a former WoW and GW1 officer that didn’t have the luck of finding the right place or the right people to play with yet. I’ve been trying to bring our former guild alive, but without any success. Most players are looking for large guilds. Large guilds where they are none. None knows you, because you are one of many. I don’t like that concept at all.

I’m looking for a small mature and active guild, whose members I can laugh and goof around with in the game doing whatever we feel like. Also, I’d like to reserve a spot for a friend that can’t play at the moment, but will be joining us sometime soon.

Few things about me, I’m a 4th year university student at the moment, working a part-time job. I’m gaming since forever, been through DaoC, WoW, GW1 to name a few games. When I’m not outside with friends/gf, I’m home playing. Real life comes first to me.

I’m happy to announce that we’ll be holding dungeons/WvW weekends almost every week!

I’d like to tell you about our guild.. It was formed long-ago in the original Guild Wars Prophecies by me and a friend of mine – Engine Wrecker. It wasn’t a big guild, we had like no more than 40 members, but it was nice to log in, after a long day at work and be around people you enjoy talking to and playing with.

Now, Engine Wrecker and I are back again in Guild Wars 2. We took 3 months and a half of playing the game with our former Guild Leader Alliance from GW1 and now we’re ready to form the Ace Of Fire Division again.

We are an European Guild stationed at Gandara at the moment looking for a mature laid back members, couples, families, we don’t care who you are in-real life, we tolerate everyone as equal! Also we don’t mind taking players below the age of 21 too, as trust me I have seen people at 17 behave as 30 and I am proud!

What else should I say? Well… we are a PvX guild, we’ve always done dungeons and special events together and PvP when we feel like it. Actually, we do what we feel like all the time, that’s partly the reason why we play games I think.

We use RaidCall to speak, if someone doesn’t know how to use it or have various questions about it, you can ask me, I’ll explain everything.

Racism is not accepted, whether its about race, color, gender, religion, or sexuality!

There is no application process, since we don’t have forums yet (working on that, will be up soon), but I have never been fond of applications to be honest. (in real life too maybe because I see them on my desk every Monday…..) Anyway, you can just write me a mail in-game or /whisper me:

Furthermore you are not restricted on how many you can do per day. In other dungeons you get 60 tokens only once per day.

Excuse me, mate. Just a correction, so that people don’t get mislead. ^^

You get 60 token each time you complete a different path on a dungeon every 24 hours. You can do TA path 1, 2, 3, 4 and still get 60 tokens each run.

The Trick is.. don’t do dungeons too fast and take breaks, because you’ll get less tokens if you complete dungeons like 4 paths in an hour.

Jotun path broke at the very end for us today, first time running it (to completion) for all of us. I guess there’s a bug where if the NPC that follows you through the instance dies on the final boss fight, even if you resurrect her, it breaks the scripting that triggers the final cutscene and/or the last door opening. Which means you’ve completed the instance… except you get no tokens and no credit because you can’t enter the last room.
So unless you want to experience that immense frustration, I’d suggest avoiding it.

Jotun path is broken, we are sitting there now like idiots, hoping for some mesmer trick to work. Maybe we should find a exploit to make gold there so it will be priority for fixing?

Guys, listen, before you engage the final boss, bring crystals at the entrance and check who of the party members the NPC follows. The one guys that the NPC follows must stay behind in the little tunnel before the boss entrance. 4 guys can kill the boss easily.

Thieves revive better than everyone else with SR, HiS or Blinding Powder. He can reach downed allies in no time with Shadowstep, free AoE cripple and bleed on dodge, haste for faster revive… a lot of stuff that a necro can’t do.

Necros either play condition build, that is very strong when your party doesn’t use much conditions, because the stacks go up very fast. Necro running wells is very useful too. A lot of stuff that a thief can’t do.

The conclusion is pretty clear I think.

The two main problems with FotM is that it is virtually impossible to find a group for the lower levels, especially level 1. Thus, I can’t play with my other toons which is a BAD DESIGN SYSTEM. Together with the RNG of the dailies.

You can do Explorable mode without doing Story mode in the first place.

It was changed few weeks ago.

Magic find doesn’t work on bosses in dungeons. It was confirmed by ANet, but they might have changed it in the last few updates I don’t know.

I’ll try to give you an advice when playing dungeons. =)

Once you learn what every boss does, or what he is expected to do… pick your most appealing profession and start changing weapons, utilities and elites before every major fight.

Seriously, I don’t know why some people think they are bound to finish a dungeon without changing their skills to something that is way more useful against certain mobs/bosses. Guardians almost always use Greatswords, but hell some of the other weapons are far more useful in other is situations where the greatsword might get you killed.

A well traited Sword/Focus build has a quite the high DPS alone, but…
This game is about swapping weapons at the right time.
If you like the sword, it’s O.K. Get a sword use it as an initiator in PvE and spike with ZD, then swap to GS and finish them. =)

Overall, GS and Hammer > Focus and Mace and Sword in terms of DPS, but the last three has other useful skills in a lot of situations. =)
