Dear all,

I was one of those who did my very best for a long time to take part of the main finishing event but the awful lag made it pretty much impossible to participate (I did all the pre-event stuff on two toons). The new/updated/modified Anet script for sending out chest rewards seems to have recognise my effort and I got a reward chest. Just some normal rares and exotics (in addition to the Ancient Karka Shell and the Ancient Karka Shekk Box).

Big Kudos to Anet for their effort to solve this thing.

I ended up doing some fractals after spending loads of time trying to do the event

That Anet don’t bother about us who tried to take part but basically got kicked in the head by a badly planned event execution feels really bad. We also deserves the loot.

Hey man it lagged for everyone else, and everyone else stayed. STAYING and trying being the key. The chest is only for those who tried, and got disconnected at the end. Not an hour before hand not two hours before hand,. ect,. not people who gave up and went somewhere else.

This is for people who put in the full effort.

Not sure I agree with you… I did my best to take part and stayed in the event a quite long time considering that the game froze for minutes and in-between allowed me to play for like 30 secs before going to freeze mode again. Time after time. And now I hear that many gets a second chest rewards etc.

This is my 3rd post ever on the GW forum and I have over 800 hours on multiple toons, many lvl 80, so I am not much for qq and I do support Anet. But this makes me really sad!

My first forum post…

I try to take part of as much as possible that GW2 offers (as any Anet employee with account access can check) and really look forward to new content/rewards etc. However, yesterday brought such painful lag that it was more or less impossible to take part of the one-time event. I find it very discouraging not to be able to get the rewards others got, e.g. the 20-slot bag etc.and hope that Anet will fix this… i.e., all who tried to take part (and indeed for all that got disconnected towards the end) ought to get some participation reward.

Note that I do realise that others might not have had any lag at all, due to the physical location of their computer, but I think many had same experienced as I did.
