What I thought I had implied was that it’s possible that a subspecies of the Norn migrated someplace warm and evolved with each passing generation, it is also possible that the subspecies of Norn lived someplace hot and migrated someplace cold. Also I read in another discussion that a Norns climate-resistance changes from one environment to the next, so who’s to say that they don’t become warm resistant in extremely hot climates. I believe there could be other ethnicity and skin colours of the norn race for the same reason there are other ethnicity and skin colours of the human race.

I believe that a majority of the Norn in Hoelbrak are pale due to the regions surrounding mountainous terrain, the fog that blankets the western Wayfarer Foothills, and the never clearing clouded sky that sprinkles a never ending snow fall on the rest of the Shiverpeaks. That being said, personally I think that the Norn would like other species be acceptable to evolve genetically so that to adapt and survive in their environment. There is no evidence disproving the possibility of dark skinned settlements of Norn in farther Southern regions that I know of.

They are not Mongols either, yet many of their facial hair options look to be inspired by them. Being of Welsh, Briton, and Nordic descent that has greatly influenced the design of my avatar and it is no secret that the race was inspired a great deal by the culture of the Picts, Celts, and Anglo-Saxons of Great Britain. I only meant that I personally would like to see more inspired by the Norsemen. I also think it would be cool if there was an option to give my norn sideburns like Wolverine or Toombs, I probably would purchase a makeover kit for that.

I think if the race were to have short hair that they would be more apt to sport various hawks and undercuts. They would have sported braids for sure. I would like to see the end of the magical disappearance of my beard when I wear open faced helms and more Icelandic beard and mutton chop options. As it is I find a majority of the beards look Mongolian, there is nothing wrong with that mind you but I don’t want to look like a mongol, I am of Norse decent and would like my avatar to look Norse.

Hi, I would like to enlighten myself on the history and culture of the Norn. Have they always been inhabitants of the Tyria continent? Have they always called the Shiverpeaks home? Were they always Goliaths? What is the history of their relationship with the other races that inhabit the world of Tyria? And how were their alliances formed? Does anyone know where I can refer to for the answers I seek?
