I am still having this problem. Really was enjoying the new storyline, off for update and then nothing. That was over 2 hours ago, they must be scrambling to figure out what went wrong.

A genuine enjoyment!

I have read a lot of the posts from the recent beta bl test. I was fortunate enough to get to experience the new map and wanted to add my thoughts. I make it known and without guilt that I am what many of you would call a casual player. I play because I love to play. I am by nature a defender and have learned the hard way that you can become a non-defender real quick when the “zerg” if off chasing bags and lets your T3 fall to another zerg looking for bags. My thoughts on this test were that there were not enough ppl in Anvil Rock, at least when I was on. I was able to solo camps and shrines. I also was able to head all the way to the far side of the maps to do a bit of havoc. I enjoyed it and can see that it is definitely going to be the playground for the big guilds to battle it out. As far as the mechanics of my experience go I was dc’d several times, most notably when the fire keep was capped after a long three hour siege with a few dedicated players. Wanted to play my necro but opted for the ranger d/t the ds bug. Comments have already been made about the size of the map but I don’t think it is all that much esp when it is full of players. The keeps are soo big and soo full of hiding places that more than one or two will have to watch it. One thing I did notice was that a Mesmer was able to port inside the keep without a wall being down. My last comment has to do with my concern about the digital download on the expansion. Maybe I am the only one with a slow internet but I spent 49 1/2 hours downloading the bl and wonder how long the whole thing is going to take on 10/23. Overall, thank you Anet for the awesome addition to the game and I truly hope that the original bls and eb will not be permanently replaced.

I am anxious to be a druid, I made a beta ranger and did really well so can imagine what the new and improved ranger will provide. I played the Necro and really enjoyed the skills and ability to hold my own against the hoards of hylek. The Ele and Mes were definitely not as capable but that could be my lack of expertise in those professions . The map is difficult to get around in but am sure it will become easier with more playing time. I was looking forward to gliding with updrafts but found only one on BE1 and none on this one. The hardest thing for me was knowing that all the drops were of no value. I didn’t open anything because I couldn’t deal with finding that pre-cursor I have been waiting for. I am a die hard GW fan, both of them, and looking forward to 10/23 when I will be able to play without time constraints. Thanks Anet for all of the effort you are putting into making this game great.

I believe that prior comments have been right on. I love the scope but find the complexity frustrating. I am still 100k files from being completely downloaded and am happy to have had the playable feature so that I could participate. I was able to roam, capture shrines and camps. There were a couple of crashes but that might be expected. I am looking forward to next weekend with more ppl and the chance to make a revenant which I think was definitely considered when making this new borderland.
