I don’t know this guy or this bear, but it was a funny random moment.
Well, they won’t be server bound much longer. They have plans to change that.
I don’t like the idea of the traditional questing system. They have a quest system, it’s called dynamic events and hearts.
Collectors would be nice, though.
No books. I’ve got enough inventory clutter.
This is a good idea. I support it.
No mounts. They said when the game was released there would not be mounts. I do not want mounts. Try enjoying the game rather than grinding it.
So apparently, according to a recent post, GW2 staff are having issues with the guild bank system for the April 15th update. My suggestion is to make it where every bank unlocked on any server can be accessed on any server. Unlocking guild banks on other servers could also be used to increase the size of the guild bank. In other worse, you unlock your guild bank on server A and server B and then go to server C. You will be able to access the bank for both server A and server B.
I think people need to stop thinking so much in the mindset this is an ordinary mmo. There being only one build, set of weapons, ect is a ridiculous idea and an elitist mindset that I am sad to see this community fall in to.
All this ‘long bow sucks’ and get rid of longbow’ discussion only tells me that since people don’t know how to properly use something, they automatically discard it. If you knew how to keep your distance from enemies and kite instead of getting in their faces you wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss a weapon option that is very viable. I do admit it could use a small power boost to make up for the speed being as low as it is, however saying that it should be removed from the game just because you don’t like it is selfish. Other people have no problem with it, don’t try to ruin it for them.
I got this comment on a reddit post I made about whether or not guild banks would be combined across all servers after the big update to guilds in the mega server system.

Do people really hate guilds with guild banks or is this guy just trolling?
Conditions and boons need more love. Maybe something to lengthen the duration of player used conditions and boons. I’d like to see poison stack, but that might be a bit over powered, it would need testing.
I like the timetable for the world bosses. This will help those people who only zerg in queensdale because they don’t know when bigger bosses spawn. Also, the times are great to work against the zerg, as well.
I don’t like always contested waypoints. I don’t even like that they will just ‘look’ contested. This is just a gold sink option to make people spend more silver on traveling. This is really going to hurt new players the most but will still inconvenience the rest of us.
I don’t like dungeons always being closed. I want to be able to run them at my leisure(in other words when I can get my group online together long enough). This will harm people who don’t play with overly large, or try hard, guilds.
I read in a user’s comment on reddit that certain big events, that were previously open world, will have to be unlocked within the guild like a typical guild mission. I didn’t read this but at the same time, I just woke up and could have glossed over it. How much truth is there to this? If it is true, I don’t like it because it harms people in smaller, more casual guilds.
If we have the same guild upgrades on multiple servers, or different ones, will doubled upgrades be refunded when the guild is merged on all servers? Will spare points be wiped if you have them on one server but not the other or will they still only apply to that one server? I guess what I’m asking is if all our work on our old server is going to carry over, be refunded, or not matter like it does now.
Also, will the guild bank be shared across servers, too?
I really like this idea. If they are wanting to give items on the trading post more value (like with the dyes), then this is a step in the right direction.
I read somewhere that dye would no longer drop in world. How true is this? What is the reasoning behind it? Can the community do anything to change your mind?
Take a look at this thread, which is a much more realistic look at the ranger than the ridiculous posts from people who play condi ele in the official CDI thread.

Thank you for the link. I hope people will still post here to show their support for the class and the fixes they feel are needed most, in their home forum.
The original poster makes some great points here. This was linked to me recently and I think it deserves another look from people who can do something about it.
Everyone knows there are things that need to be fixed with ranger, even after the changes they made go live. However, I can’t seem to find one thread where someone has attempted to compile what the community is wanting. So, with your help, I hope this will be it.
My question to you is, what would you change for rangers? Try to give as much detail as possible.
I don’t want to see any ‘rangers suk’ or ‘just fix them’.
I’d rather see ‘we still need faster arrows’ or ‘that pet name bug where you change pets and have to rename them again is still really annoying me’.
Maybe only give big level appropriate rewards once a day then after that it’s normal area appropriate loot? Then people would run through once a day and then move to another area.
I think both classes are workable as long as you are mindful of other players and can deal with hateful elitists well. Ranger is a great class. I do recommend gathering all of the pets so you have a good selection. From there make sure you are using the right pet for the right job. If need be, you can always put it on peaceful until you need it. Also, using the knockback skill with longbow is better is you’re soloing or if you have agro and are about to die with your heal on cooldown. The key is to be mindful of your environment and your actions. It’s not a easy class for people who don’t pay attention and that is why people whine about it.
Personally, I like the down-scaling. However, I think that higher level areas need some incentive to get people coming back and lower level areas need less incentive.
I think more people leave because they get burned out of zerging queensdale all the time instead of experiencing the game as a whole. Does anyone even fight the dragons anymore? >.<
We’re moving to Meguuma! This was not an easy decision to make as we have been with SoR since beta. I’ll be making the edits to the thread shortly.
I never have an issue with this class. I don’t understand all the complaining people do and the hate people give people who can play this class. Simply look up some builds that suit your play style.
I’m guessing your guild doesn’t do much WvW then?
Hell, I don’t even remember seeing any WvW SoR primetime guild ever running Rangers.
We’ve not done WvW in a long time. Our main focus has been living story, crafting, and leveling related. I still don’t see the problem. If people know how to play their class there shouldn’t be one. Maybe people should actually do some research into builds rather than automatically saying the class is broken because what they want to do isn’t that great for pvp.
Last time I did that I was told it wasn’t enough. I literally wrote two sentences and they deleted my post. Any way I can get a forum staff member to answer this?

The forum rules say that you can’t bump a thread. However, how else do we get our recruitment thread to the first page without doing so? Do we re-post it?
Hey there,
If you want to give your guild a boost, you might want to check out MOA Productions! It’s a guild-event-sharing-website. Maybe it can help you (or you might be able to help others!). There are quizzes, forum challanges, map completion events, RP-events and way more! Just check it out:
That page doesn’t exist, but thanks anyway.
Dragonheart Legion [DL] is recruiting all levels and classes to join us in game. We’re a casual guild and believe in enjoying the game rather than rushing to max level. We also enjoy dragon slaying, gathering, and crafting.
At the time of writing this, we have twenty three members of different levels, though most have gone inactive. We don’t really have a specific time zone or play time when we are online. The leader and co-leader are in CST and usually play late at night between 9pm and 2am due to their work schedules. We’ve been gone a long time but are back in the game with some new friends.
We have a guild stash, armorer, emblem, constant +10% magic find, and forums.
We are looking to get a WvW group together and a dungeon running group.
For voice chat, we will be using skype until another free and easy to use service is found. We spend a lot of time on voice chat and will likely only use it for WvW when we get a dedicated group.
Our requirements (basically just rules of the guild, which I also put in a spoiler tag at the bottom of this post) are on our website among other things that might interest you. (will be adding guides as I have time to make them) We are very lax on our requirements.

If you want to join you can fill out the recruitment form on the site (which is in serious need of updates). The best way, however, is to whisper Enzara or Weisman in game. Really, any of our members can help you as recruitment is open for everyone.
The rules are as follows…
R.E.S.P.E.C.T. is more than a song. Respect your guild mates even if they do not ‘earn’ it. One should never have to earn respect as a living, breathing, human being, in order to be treated the way you would want to be treated.
You’re not a begging bum. Do not beg for money or items, ask nicely one time. It’s annoying to read ‘plz plz plz gimmie goldz’ and ‘all i ned is 1 mor mat plz’ all the time.
Spam belongs in the can. Can the spam, we don’t want a million post of ‘hi hi hi hi hi’ on the guild chat or forums.
Take something, give something back. If you take something from the guild vault, try to put something in. Even if it’s a few starter materials.
Building an empire takes time. I’ll be adding and taking away from these rules as we need changes made. No great guild was built in a day and I don’t expect us all to be godly beasts in a short period of time. What is important is what we enjoy the game rather than rush through it.
Follow along as I vanquish the putrid Tequatal The Sunless, with quite a bit of trouble.

Join me as I vanquish Jormag alongside other adventurers.

This is a video I recorded for youtube of myself and a ton of others on Sanctum of Rall downing the dragon, Tequatl the Sunless.
I ask that you not rip on me too harshly for quality or my voice commentary. Those are two things I am working to improve.
Thanks for watching!
Dragonheart Legion [DL] invites you to join our casual guild on Sanctum of Rall. We like to take our time leveling. We enjoy dragon slaying, WvW, running dungeons, and just sitting around chatting.
Good to see another couple who play together! I run a guild this guild with my fiance, actually. We do try to watch our mouths as, I believe, we have a couple younger ones in the guild. Weis and I are in CST and usually online at night between 9pm and 2am (on my days off I usually get on earlier). We have members from all over the world who are on at different times. It’s a very diverse group.
To join just give Enzara or Weisman or any of our members a yell in game and we’ll drop you an invite.
We encourage everyone joining to also join our forums

I’m not sure if we are mature enough for you, but our leader and co-leader are in their mid 20’s. We have had no drama or problems. Most of our grouping up is helping members with dungeon story, WvW, or dragon slaying (my personal favorite).
To join just give Enzara or Weisman or any of our members a yell in game and we’ll drop you an invite.
We encorage everyone joining to also join our forums

Hey there! Our guild isn’t Aussie exclusively, however, we do tend to be on during that time.
Dragonheart Legion was made to be a casual guild for people of all levels, classes, and crafting skills to come together and hang out while having fun playing the game. We don’t accept anyone who doesn’t speak English, begs for items, causes drama, or tries to harass others into leveling faster.
We have a bank and forums (though the forums are not required and no one really cares to participate in using them) and we’re trying to make a decision on a voice chat program (probably skype since it’s free and most people already have it). We recently set an emblem and obtained a guild armorer contract. If you’re interested the leaders’ character names are Enzara and Weisman.
I hope to see you in game!
~Enzara
Same problem on Sanctum of Rall server.
