I am not sure if, by “lore stipulation”, you mean don’t want a lore friendly name, but if you’re ok with a lore friendly name, sylvari have celtic inspired names. So, maybe you could add to Zeph one or more syllables with celtic, scottish or irish consonances, like Zephain, Zephaerne, Zephidan, for example. Lore friendly names don’t have to mean something, it’s fantasy. Or maybe you actually want your name to have a meaning, and since you seems to want a name theme on the wind, the only thing I can do for you is saying that the celtic god of storms was called Taranis.

Thanks a lot for your answer, now I know how I will proceed. However, I don’t think it would be so controversial for the ancestor of my character to get married with an Ascalonian noblewoman since the King Reza took part just in the Third Guild War, and only to put it an end, he was a pacifist, so there wouldn’t be much problems for an orrian ambassador to marry with an Ascalonian, that would be regarded as a normal action to join in the Ascalonian society.

So, it would be a good idea to create a character with orrian/ascalonian metis traits, an orrian surname and an ascalonian first name, like James Al-Khezar, make him a descendant of an orrian diplomat in Ascalon with his family, more likely to be a nobleman, who married an ascalonian noblewoman before The Searing, and say that his family secretly retained their orrian cultural heritage and traditions ?

So, everything is in the title, I would like to RP a noble mesmer, and give him an orrian name and orrian traits. However, I am hesitating. Would it be a good idea, since humans of orrian descent hide their heritage to avoid persecutions ? And, since survivors of the Cataclysm had the status of refugees, would it be even likely that my character was part of the Nobility ? If not, should I roll a metis Orrian/Ascalonian one (Orrian/Ascalonian rather than Orrian/Krytan because I already made a noble Krytan elementalist) ?
