Thanks a lot for your answer, now I know how I will proceed. However, I don’t think it would be so controversial for the ancestor of my character to get married with an Ascalonian noblewoman since the King Reza took part just in the Third Guild War, and only to put it an end, he was a pacifist, so there wouldn’t be much problems for an orrian ambassador to marry with an Ascalonian, that would be regarded as a normal action to join in the Ascalonian society.
So, it would be a good idea to create a character with orrian/ascalonian metis traits, an orrian surname and an ascalonian first name, like James Al-Khezar, make him a descendant of an orrian diplomat in Ascalon with his family, more likely to be a nobleman, who married an ascalonian noblewoman before The Searing, and say that his family secretly retained their orrian cultural heritage and traditions ?
So, everything is in the title, I would like to RP a noble mesmer, and give him an orrian name and orrian traits. However, I am hesitating. Would it be a good idea, since humans of orrian descent hide their heritage to avoid persecutions ? And, since survivors of the Cataclysm had the status of refugees, would it be even likely that my character was part of the Nobility ? If not, should I roll a metis Orrian/Ascalonian one (Orrian/Ascalonian rather than Orrian/Krytan because I already made a noble Krytan elementalist) ?
