they wont help you becuase you are using OS 10.6.8
I used to have the blackscreen problem and I decided to delete everything inside
content> resources > transgaming >c_drive>GW2.
Then i replaced all the files from my Windows installation.
After all, I dont have the blackscreen issues anymore.
I am running OS10.6.8

Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.93 GHz

After hitting the login button, i can click the play button.
the launcher shut down and a black window popped up.
It lasted for few second until an error occurred.
Exception: c0000005
A serious error has occurred that prevented the application from continuing. A report has been sent to ArenaNet to help determine the cause.
Then it closed down.
After running the first time with error, there is no more errors popping up and the black screen closed on itself.
I dont have my spec right now. but i am using OS 10.6.8

I updated to mountain lion and it seems to working fine now. I was using snow leopard when I had the black screen and crashing problems.
Heard that mountain lion is not that great… still thinking if i should upgrade it or not
