Guild Wars 2

Returning after 3 years, could really use some tips as the game has really changed. I was greeted by a ton of icons and notifications as soon as I logged in. It was kinda overwhelming. Hopefully the community is able to help a struggling returning player.

My main character is a Lvl80 Necromancer but my gear are pretty outdated. I’m wearing 3 year old exotic power gear. How should I get around to gearing up and what should I be doing? Any content I should be doing to gear up,etc?

Also need some insight on the Necromancer class. Is it a good class for a returning player like me to get into or should I start off fresh from another class.

Basically I’m pretty lost on what I should be doing right now.

So I stopped playing GW2 about 3 years ago, I got a Level 80 Necromancer and I believe I have gear for a Powermancer and Condition build, not sure if those builds are still around, but all the gear I have on me right now are like over 3 years old so I’m pretty sure they are outdated.

What are the current Necromancer builds floating around and how is the Necromancer currently in PvE. Would it be a good class to return to? I remember loving the Necromancer because of all the “forms” they had like the Lich form and the F1 form which was like a mass of shadow or something.

Pretty much would appreciate any Necromancer info that would help someone like me who is 3 years behind in the game.

Hello! I’m a returning 80. Been away from the game for nearly 2 years now. I think I was in exotics or rares before I left the game but my accessories/armor and stuff are probably outdated by now.

So I’m hoping to get back into the game but it’s a little overwhelming for me as I have already missed out on 2 years of the game so I have no idea where to start. I also can’t seem to find an updated/current content guide made in 2015.

I’m hoping the community can point me into the right direction so I don’t feel lost and have something to work towards to in the game. I’m currently thinking about continuing my rifle warrior if that helps.

So currently to build my character I will have to rely solely on dailies and Fractals of the Mist?

And also what should I look out for in Fractals of the Mist? As in what drops or items should I be looking out for in there.

As for my current weapons, etc. I assume I’m okay for now since there have been no new ascended gear of those types released?

I am a returning player that hadn’t been playing the game for probably about half a year. I last stopped with an 80 powermancer as my main and Exotic gear with Superior runes of divinity and I got like 7G in my bank.

I am currently lost as to what I should be doing as an objective. I don’t know if my gear would be considered optimized anymore as I know there are those Ascended gear but are the only ways to getting them through dailies to get laurels? And are there any new gear or dungeon I should be trying out?

Would be nice if someone could point me out what content I should look at first and what I should be getting to optimize my character.
