Captain Wiley Spawn Bug

Dear Anet,

I have staked in Captain Wiley’s Cove (Gandarran Fields) for the past 5+ hours and, from my understanding, he will keep respawning in his Cove as long as the event is not up in Lake Gendarr. Server reset did not fix the problem. I have tried to intentionally ‘fail’ the stopping the shovelers event to see if that helps. Eventually, some shovelers turned invulnerable and event was put to a halt, disabling progress. I was thinking of getting my precursor collection done today; however, due to this issue, I was not able to.
I hope this problem will be addressed soon. Thank you.

Can I suggest that Anet ‘could’ have most PvP skills balancing for each classes separate from PvE.

— Yes, that’s an overhaul on most of the skills and it’s output power for each skills in PvP mode.
— Yes, that requires saving a lot more data per account in their database.
— Yes, it is a meticulous journey trying to figure out the fine line between playable classes and PvP non-meta (a kind way to say, unplayable) classes aka daredevil ironically — a set of skill sets that first looked like it was all for PvP.

The face of the community has spoken for balanced patches, we already know the problem exist. How to solve it will be the greatest feat. PvP as we know it is broken. However, no one enjoys a huge nerf after every PvP balancing patches, because PvE is completely different from PvP in terms of cooldown timers, damage ticks, skill rotation, mechanics, hell — even the community — I could even say the same for WvW if the WvW community pushes that too.

I’m sorry if this is not where I should write this thread but I’m very displeased and am afraid that if I write this after the balance patches it will be way too late. PvE players most often than not get the short end of the stick. That is not to say, don’t do balance patches whatsoever, I’m just suggesting — keep them separate.

It’s that simple. Hire more class developers because clearly you are undermanned on that front, SPLIT PVE/PVP balance, and do more meaningful balance patches more often.

Recently, I’ve noticed that Ebony Orbs are used to make marauder not Agate Orbs, which is inconsistent to the orb’s stats. Marauder stats have +Power +Precision +Vitality and +Ferocity; however the Ebony Orbs that are currently being used have +Power +Toughness +Ferocity +Healing. I thought it was just the insignia but apparently, but it’s also inconsistent for the inscriptions as well. I’m just wondering if this was intended or a design failure in mixing up these two orbs as it spurs a lot of confusion. If it wasn’t intended, I do hope it will be corrected very soon.

TL;DR Ebony orbs should be used for Crusader stats and Agate orbs should be used for Marauder stats both for insignias and inscriptions. Thank you for your time, devs.

I have reported the bugs already, but I’ll reiterate it here.
In the The Predator I: The Experimental Rifle collection
The Scarlet’s Prototype Mechanism is known to 1.) not even be present and 2.) not being able to interact with the item.
Also, I have done the Bloodtide Coast Portmatt’s Lab multiple times; however, the trophy Decrypted Weapons Research is unobtainable even after the lab has been decrypted.

If you were disconnected before the event ended. Obviously you will have missed the reward. However, I do understand people who are having connection problems/game crashing etc etc. They did say they are working on it – it’s a common issue.

I don’t know why it’s not showing up on the wiki but I’m sure there’s a +Condition +Power +Vitality stats available to purchase (amulet from WvW laurels vendor, RIngs from pristine fractal relics vendor, and accessories from guild commendations vendor). Make sure you don’t buy both of the same offensive/defensive infusions because ascended gear is unique when equipped and offensive can’t stack, same goes with defensive infusion slots.
If it’s not there, Condi people usually run Sinister stats +Condition +Power +Precision, which you get from living story 2 achievement rewards.

I apologize this one post having two separate topics, but they are somewhat related so I decided to post it in one go.

Who can claim the guild halls?

We’ve already talked about how it is claimed and how big of group can claim it but Anet has not mentioned who in what rank can claim the guild hall? Some may say it is obvious that the guild leader would be the one to claim the guild hall; however, many old guilds such as ours (3 years) have our founder going AWOL for an extensive amount of time. We have designated leaders who have been running the guild up to this day, but if we were to start up another guild for HoT, there is a missed opportunity to spend our influence points that we’ve been racking up for years.

Dynamic guild ranking system

Having the first point made, I would like to suggest an idea for the future guild updates. I coined it as ‘dynamic guild ranking system’ (by all means change the name as you see fit when applied) as an option for the founder to pass up the title to the next ranking officer in case the founder might deliberately decide to leave the guild. I would also suggest if the founder has been AWOL for a whole year, the title automatically be passed on to the next ranking officer who had been the most dedicated to the guild: be it gauged by the most appropriate guild currency such as favor as HoT rolls out. Perhaps a feature for setting up rank duration rules such as AWOL for 6 months be automatically demoted a guild rank (manual promote/demote still be present) – obviously for the founder, we don’t want him/her to be ranked out without reason so perhaps the maximum duration be a 1 whole year of going AWOL.

I don’t suggest this to forcibly impeach someone out of their rank. I’m simply suggesting this to be a solution so that no guild (both old and young) will be obsolete but be a progressive movement of legacy.
