Giving your topic a bump to add “Actually interested in engaging new recruits instead of inviting them in and then ignoring when they talk in chat (this has been literally every guild I’m invited into)” this has been my experience as well, heh. Good to know I’m not the only one out there who goes through this =) Hope you find a place, did you end up finding a chill mature place?
Hey Jaysh! Your guild sounds great, though I fall into the category of “If you are not one to use voice chat this may not be the guild for you.” Not against VC personally but due to work I can rarely make it on. Thanks for recommending your guild and best luck!
I’m looking to see if an established guild exists that is
*Mature: Primarily adult members, adult oriented
*Social: Chatter in guild chat or an active Discord/website where people talk out of game
*Casual: or willing to accept casual players with no pressure
*A Community: A guild that has representation on other sites like Steam, or their own website or forum, or talks about/does things outside of GW2. Does holiday events and such.
ETA: An open world based guild? Or one that does map clears is a plus.
I’m in a smaller sized guild with a few friends and due to other people moving on to other games or being over GW2, activity has dropped. I posted a year ago looking for new places and never really found a place that fit, and activity has dropped more since I last posted. I don’t want to leave my home guild but I’d like to add to my guild roster as I miss the social aspect of talking to others while playing. So I’m seeing if there’s a guild out there who wouldn’t mind casual players joining their ranks. Due to work and life I’m not one for raids and fractals. I stick to open world exploration, mapping and events. I have HoT and can donate what I can to guild hall upgrades. I’m also on an NA server. I prefer text over voice in general but don’t mind joining guilds that have both an active text and voice chat.
Please respond here with information about the guild, how active it is, links to guild websites or whatever questions you may have. Feel free to refer me a guild you know or other recruitment sites that might be geared towards social-casual play. I’ll have a look around and respond accordingly.
