I noticed that whenever I use bouncing mushrooms, the toggle abilities I have on Herald get toggled off. Not sure if this is an intended thing or not. Looks like I’d probably drop my kits as an engineer and stuff too. Thought I’d bring it up.

Dynamic Event Impacts

So after playing this game for 3 years now, I feel like the dynamic events are not as impactful as they used to be/could be.

For instance there’s a group event in Genderran fields where Centaurs take Nebo Terrace. This event is hard and is lost more often than not. But instead of letting the Centaurs just inhabit it for a while, there’s an event that immediately follows which lets you retake it.

I was always under the impression dynamic events were supposed to have some actual impact on the world if they were not succeeded.

Last night when Gavbeorn’s Landing was taken in Cursed Shore because we were just shy of killing all the undead within the allotted time, it was kind of a bummer that we lost the camp. But then about 20 seconds after we lost, another one appeared where you had to destroy the undead to retake the camp which was significantly easier than defense event. It made the whole 5-10 min of defense we did seem so pointless after we retook the camp in 2-3 min. I would’ve expected the Pact to need to retreat and regroup, then organize some kind of recapture mission. They do it kind of in Straits of Devastation which I’m a big fan of. The south and southeast waypoints are always contested cause no one does the events.

I guess my point is, I want the dynamic events to have more than 5 min of lasting impact. People should actually have to do some thematically fitting events to recapture lost points if no one bothered to defend the camps. I don’t think they should be as difficult as Nebo Terrace, but it would bring some more challenge to the core PvE areas.

Tempest Warhorn needs...

Warhorn is FANTASTIC. Probably the best new weapon for an elite spec IMO. Brings the boonshares, brings some great dps, an ENORMOUS fire field with burning, and some very cool moving field effects.

I LOVE it. I will never use anything else. Scepter/Warhorn ftw for me. Love love love it.

Well that makes one of us. I love the shouts, however, Warhorn brings nothing of new value.

I also feel this way. the shouts and the overload is cool, but warhorn is like taking staff stuff and putting it in a less effective package on offhand

Tempest Specialization

So my main is an Elementalist. And I am a big fan of staying in one attunement, so the idea of overloading the attunement is very cool to me. However it’s very clear the overloading favors melee-based elementalist builds. Though it really isn’t that big of a deal to run in, start the overloading then run back out when it’s done (I realize if you’re stacking then it’s kind of a moot point).

But so far I’m liking that portion of the elite specialization.

Currently Warhorn feels…lackluster. I like the idea that were given, but the implementation just feels very anti-climactic. Even the animations are very subpar. I feel like using warhorn on ranger and necro, the animations and effects fit and don’t feel like they just fall off (Not much experience using it on warrior). When I use my warhorn on Ele to summon an orb of lightning, and this little ball that you can barely see the “zaps” on the enemies kind of just falls out of the warhorn, it’s not very satisfying to see. Fire4 on Warhorn seems useful and would be interesting to make a build around, but the animation on it is not really existent.

I feel like I mostly used the warhorn Air4 for swiftness, didnt’ use the 5, Used Water5 for healing people, rarely used the 4. Didn’t even really use Earth attunement. I think I used the dust storm a few times, but then I mostly used the Fire5 to set up a fire field for might followed by Fire 4 to spread the aoe might i just gave.

All in all I like the idea of the overloads, but the Tempest doesnt’ seem to be adding anything right now. It seems to me like staff is still more of utile than the warhorn.

Trojan horses also automatically kill all members of SoR within one borderlands distance.

Why the hate!
