Is it ok to post my issue here if support wont help me? I submitted a ticket and the support team pretty much told me “too bad.” I’m not trying to get the account I JUST bought banned also.
All those changes are important because they fix the several flaws that GW2 has early game: the lack of a sense of progression, poor tutorials, directionless, forgottable rewards and jumpy story instances that forced you to level up midway, interrupting the flow of the story.
I never had any problem understanding what to do when I started playing. Neither did anybody that I know.
That’s because it was simple, easy to understand, and fluid. Not anymore.
Yeah, Totally ignored my comment. Just like the support team. “Glad you gave us your money! How long have you been playing our games and giving us money?” “Oh that’s nice.”
-Unbind Scrolls and Tomes of Knowledge from accounts so that they can be traded. I have them running out my ears since I don’t make alts often, and many of my friends would practically give an arm and a leg to just get their alt to 80 without having to spend days in eotm. (I know leveling in pve is pretty quick, and I personally like it, but some people simply hate it)
- New PvP mode/map. Though the courtyard was an attempt at this it’s a cluttered and cramped map and the free for all suffers because of it. It turns into five minutes of spawncamping and line of sight-ing. A larger map with free for all mode, or a different mode of play might reinvigorate pvp mode.
- Guild places, and more consideration of GvGs. Obsidian Sanctum arena is full of trolling and interference that can’t be punished or stopped, and despite Anet’s attempts to publicize PVP tournaments, GvGs are neglected in a dark corner. It would help to have a place where guild members can hang out together or maybe host gvgs/skirmishes, and be able to boot/ban trolls. Like a custom arena, but with the same gear as wvw and a much larger player capacity. For a game called Guild Wars 2, this is a huge weak spot.
This^^
How about the entire basis for the series and the biggest reason for it’s success?
GvG…..
Come on…The game is called “GUILDWARS.” You would think that would imply that guilds should, at some point, fight each other….You know? If I remember correctly, there was a game that came out a while back that had a lot of these things…Oh yeah, Guild Wars.
What do you need to do a GvG you say? Glad you asked. You need a place where your guild can meet up and plan for events, maybe even create parties, practice tactics and such. But what in the world would we call a place like that? OH! I know…
A Guild Hall!!
On a serious note though, Please ANet give us back GvG and Guild halls.

Pets gone/fixed/optional = Problem solved, Ranger fixed.
Mag has just lost too many players. People smelt the blood in the water and evacuated. If you go into WvW or Edge now it’s either a ghost town or people are just getting steamrolled at every corner. It is to the point now where there is no effort. Sad to say but I will also be leaving. GL Mag.
Being that Ranger has always been my favorite class I have to agree with Straegen. If you’re going to make the Ranger a viable option in well, anything then it needs to be more like a Ranger should be. Ranger 1v1 is pretty hard to contend with but Anet needs to wake up and fix the class. Rangers are supposed to be super agile, super quick and stealthy. The MH sword comes semi-close to what the Ranger should feel like. Quick, bouncy, precise. Anet should focus on that aspect of it and at least re-work the class so that it is responsive and useful (even if they just make them faster and more evasive.) I don’t see it happening anytime soon.
