Well there you go then. You’ve got one of the things you asked for: a new permanent area with explorable content that you don’t need to do the story to access.

I doubt most people realised this because they probably went straight for the story but you can walk straight into Dry Top and do all the events, achievements, etc. without ever touching the story.

And once again a lot of the stuff you’ve asked for including precursor crafting would not be in the Living Story. They used to release a few features alongside each release but apparently that lead to too many people ignoring them so they’ve switched to doing rarer updates entirely dedicated to new features. The first one was in April (added the wardrobe, new traits and the new trait system, new PvP rewards and many other things). We don’t know when the second one will be yet but we do know they’re going to do more.

I don’t know about everyone else, but i found that i had to do the LS to get to the new area… not complete it to explore it, but i had to at least get through the (((SPOILERS))) big golem quest to do it.

The big problem i see with Season 2 with this last release, is that Achievements, seem to be the only other content, besides the story, and a few events. The last update, Festival of the Four Winds, had more stuff to do: Aspect Arena, Scavenger Hunt, Jumping Puzzle, Dolyak Race, Charged Crystal Event, Gauntlet, Boss Blitz, etc.

There’s more to come though, if they keep releasing every 2 weeks.

All of which had achievements associated with them.

That’s kind of my point though. Achievements seem to be the only form of content, instead of other stuff the OP listed. Our characters are still the same, and have not progressed with skills or new weapon types. We have gotten new Traits, but that’s it.

not only this, it was only 6 traits edit per class** that most people don’t even use in their current builds. there have been no “game changers” for a long while. I feel like my character has been stagnant since level 80 (1 week into release).

to be honest, the threads for the living story wishlists are all we really need to take a look at here. All that those wishlists ask for is something to go alongside it.

I am, of course, not asking for all of this content all at once because that would be silly (unless they make an expansion which they are firmly not doing).

One or two of these things thrown into a LS patch would bring new content not only to PVE but PVP and WVW. there are MORE people to this game than the people who do LS and PVE’ers.

Also, I would like to add that we were promised precursor crafting a LONG time ago so at least add that one thing first.

TLDR: not all my ideas, add precursor crafting, not all about PVE.

1 new zone, took me 10 minutes to complete (jumping puzzle included) and 30 minutes of gameplay which bored me to death (especially grinding the last encounter). I would like to know… has anyone from a-net even bothered to look at people’s wishlists for Season 2?

Here’s what i have heard so far…

-Crafting precursors (which you promised us a LONG TIME AGO).
-New areas with explorable content which does not make us do story content to get through (you know, like another actual area, rather than just a map.) ((talking about like the norn area, the asuran/sylvari area… etc.)
-New Weapons for the classes (I said it, new weapons) like daggers for mesmers, scepters for warriors, axes for guardians, swords for elementalists, rifles for rangers, and something other than a pistol or a rifle for the engineer (for gods sake PLEASE)
-some everlasting content (not something that you can rush through in 30 minutes, but takes a player who is RUSHING a few weeks to do at least)
-higher droprates on precursors (if you aren’t going to give us crafting at least give us this)
- make legendaries ACCOUNT BOUND so you can’t sell them on the auction house
- new trait lines
- new classes
-new races (tengu anyone? or quaggan, or skritt, or dwarf, or ogre, or any of the other races that the alliance helped FIGHT THE DRAGONS)
-continuity between the PERSONAL STORY and the LIVING STORY (can’t tell you how annoying it is to be one of the 10,000,000,000 commanders of the pact army rather than the 1 commander of the pact army)
-more dungeons (PLEASE)
-more GROUP content (not zerg content but instanced group content like dungeons but with more of a LS flavor)

AND NOW stuff we need LESS of

-less content that takes a month to make and 30 minutes to grind out for Achievement Points
-less gem-mongering and more content which makes players WANT to buy gems, like a new class (man, that would make me want to buy $10 worth of gems to unlock)
-less living story crap and more permanent content.
-less focus on new areas and more focus on balance and enhancing the areas you have
- less focus on that ragtag band of characters we run around with and more PERSONAL STORY
- less focus on new areas and more focus on the elder dragon we just awoke (knock knock said scarlet and NO ONE ANSWERED)
-it doesn’t feel like continuous content, it feels like we dodged a bullet, scarlet supposedly awoke the forest dragon, who has yet to make ANY APPEARANCE WHATSOEVER.

anyhow, thank you for your time, please comment below.

TLDR: more permanent content which affects PVP, WVW, and PVE rather than just PVE’ers, Less 30 minute doggybones thrown to the lowest common demoninator.

it’s just “rush the personal storyline to level 10, quit and remake”… that is it, everything else is preferential, you get level 4 on your character, complete the level 10 quest, quit, repeat.

what i am expecting is:

Living world season 2 patch notes:

reduced all drop rates so that exotics are now at a 1% chance to drop off of anything, rares are 3%, masterwork 5%, fine 11%, basic 80%.
ectoplasms will now be a 1/100 chance drop from rares and 1/50 chance from exotics.
precursor weapons now harder to obtain, their droprate has been decreased (due to the overabundance of them in the trading post) and now cannot be forged in the mystical forge but must be found as a drop.
Legendaries now require components from 4 professions and all of their materials have been doubled due to the overabundance of legendary weapons.

So, I was thinking, how about adding in as a weapon for gw2 a MOUNT with bows and lances? the mount would take up 1 of your existing weapon slots, you could make a legendary mount, have other types of mounts, and have cosmetic mounts in the gw2 store.
basic would be a horse… rare could be a tiger… and so on and so forth, the mount would not give swiftness, but would enable for you to have other skills that would give swiftness (like a warhorn does now).
I could imagine a warrior barreling down on someone with his mount, a guardian astride his bashing his foes and creating a line-shaped symbols on the ground, the necro would be able to summon horse-zombies to attack their foes, while the mesmer would be able to have a phantasmal knight. the engineer would be able to bomb people from horseback, and even pull a cart turret (how awesome would a cart-turret be?). the thief would be able to make his mount stealth and maybe would be able to have his mount attack for him with abilities akin to a trampling/mauling depending on the mount type. rangers would be able to take their PETS as mounts and use their abilities more in sync with one another. elementalists would be able to make their horse trail fire and ice, and would use it as a main getaway.
