@Brem:
Not entirely true. First of all a GTX690 is not like running SLI. A single multi-GPU card causes less trouble than a SLI setup.
Second, it’s running just as sloppy with one of the cores as it does with both.

My Spec:
i7-2600k @ 4Ghz
Nvidia GTX690
16GB Ram
1200W PSU
120HZ monitor (3d disabled! it’s unplayable when turned on)

I’m running the latest drivers, however I’ve tried earlier drivers aswell with no success.

I’ve tried using only one card aswell, no change.

My FPS range from 30 to 60, but drop as low as 20 at times.

You see the anti-farming thing doesn’t impact your ability to gather materials, it doesn’t impact your ability to do events. All it really does is impact loot drops. I don’t disagree with the idea but I wouldn’t mind being informed of the fact.

Unfortunately drops are the biggest source of income.
Gathering materials is nice on the side, but once your drops are nerfed you won’t see much of an income until you rest and get rid of the loot-nerf…

What is wrong with playing the game and not forcing on 1 single part of it? even when your a regular player

Absolutely nothing is wrong with that. However I have the most fun farming the event chains in Orr, why do I have to be punished for doing so?
Everyone should be allowed to play the way he pleases.
I dont tell ArenaNet to reduce PvP rewards after 5 games either because they could be bots, so why should my style of playing be regulated?

Yeah, but I don’t like to be forced not to play. Why do I have to wait after an hour?
Anti-bot measurements should not affect a regular player. However this affects even people that do not play hardcore all day long.

What I like to do is run around Orr (mainly Cursed Shore), chaining events and killing mobs inbetween my favorite ones. However after only two cycles I notice a distinct reduction in loot, slowly getting to the point where I do not get any loots from an event anymore at all.

Now I know this is supposedly to prevent “botlike” behavior, however, I am no bot. Why are you telling me I’m not allowed to do what I’m having fun at? Why are you trying to push me to running Caudecus for the bazillionth time because that does not get reduced for each run?

If it’d be after 8 hours of chaining events and killing mobs I’d understand, however it’s kicking in with my SECOND run of the events already. After the third my drops are none existant anymore.

Come on, you cant be serious with that…

Discounting that there was some flunk here.. There are countless other threads on this board with others users having the same problems. There is even a thread with Anet itself asking for Dxdiags and configs. Countless top of the line system are in that thread. Systems that should have zero issue at nearly all times.

Almost all the FPS issues I’ve read are a user issue. They all appear to be GPU memory bandwidth limited (“My GPU isn’t working flat out” is what gives it away) .

I haven’t seen countless top of the line systems in those threads mostly I’ve seen people with mobile GPU’s or cheap desktop GPU’s with a narrow memory bus width e.g. 64b, 128b etc resulting in low bandwidth capabilities in the order of 80-100 GB/s and wondering why they don’t get the performance of cards with 384b etc with 192 GB/s.

I have no doubt there are some quirks however in the vast majority of cases people have their aspirations ahead of their machine’s capabilities.

Right now I’m running an i7-2600k on a Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3.
I have 16gb of DDR3-1600 Ram and a Geforce GTX690.
The game itself is running on a raid0, while windows is running on a ssd.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out ANY bottleneck my system is supposed to have running GW2, yet I run into framedrops far more regularly than I should.

I’m running a fresh installation of windows 7 as I just recently reinstalled, thinking that it might be my OS.

I do have the latest beta drivers.

My Spec:
OS: Windows 7 64x
CPU: Intel i7-2600k @ 3.5Ghz
GPU: Gainward nVidia GTX690
RAM: 16GB DDR3-1600
HDD: SSD for windows, Raid0 for games
Driver Version: 306.02

With all settings at max and 1920×1080 I usually have around 60fps, however I get framedrops when there’s a lot of activity onscreen like big events or WvWvW and to be honest, with my system that should NOT happen no matter what. In fact it SHOULD run with a constant 100+ fps, which it doesnt even when there’s nothing going on onscreen.
