Guild Wars 2

I just tried that. I followed all the directions and selected to launch the repair and it did nothing but start normally.

I can respond to anyone that is in my guild but nobody outside of it can contact/chat with me privately. I cannot send mail to these people either. I’m aware that there was a chat bug when the update was applied but that it was patched. I have no idea why I’d still be bugged.

I logged in and applied it to my main account. It’s good to know I didn’t do anything wrong. Now I get to go thank my husband for his awesome gift!

I’m a little confused, when I redeemed my serial key it wanted me to redownload GW2. Should I have done that or am I fine to just carry on with my main account and wait for beta access and update the launcher then?

I’m fairly sure when the patch goes live, you’ll be able to get a refund. This said, you may just want to keep them anyway, since you won’t need transmutation charges to put them on anything.

Well, I know the transmutation charges would be cheaper than the cost of the skin was, I’d be happy for a refund in gems for the duplicates. Either way it’s money I’ve already spent with ANET to be spent on something else in the Gem Store. They lose nothing this way.

It’s not like I’m saying “Hey give me my money back!” I just want to know if the items we’ve already, apparently mistakenly, stockpiled will be reimbursed for.

So what will happen to the things I have multiples of? The skin packs that I’ve been saving
Will we be reimbursed for the duplicate by form of gems or transmutation crystals? I’m pretty confused.

I have two Magitech sat waiting for use, plus one set already unpacked and on my Thief. Then I have a Viper’s skin sat waiting, plus one unpacked on Ranger. Then 2 sets of Phoenix in use.

Honestly I’m glad for the changes but I feel like I’ve been wasting my gems now

Each time you chop a tree it’s three chops, that animation would take to long to cast.

A further point I’ve noticed is when I add them to my block list it obviously shows where they are. I had 4 yesterday online in ‘Fighting the Nightmare’ and only 1 in Lions Arch so I wondered over to LA to take a peek, eventually finding them and they are Sylvari too.

Any ideas why this would be? Or am I just paying too much attention to this annoyance? >_<

Forgive me if there is another thread about this, I did use search but it showed nothing for me. I am fairly unaccustomed to these forums so I’m not even sure this is the right place :\

I logged into game this evening only to be met instantly with what it written in the attached screenshot. It seems it’s getting ever increasing, my block list is made entirely of these gold spammers. I’ve reported them as I’ve been encountering them but surely something is being done to counter them?

I don’t have anyone on my friendslist, I don’t play enough to make friends outside of who I came to play the game with in the first place, BUT I will add my two cents to this.

I agree that a grouping feature would be nice for friends lists. With so much content and things to for people to do it would be great to just be able to glance at your list and see who is on to do what.

For example: You’re bored, can’t decide what to spend a little time doing, you open your friendslist and realize that most of the people you normally do Fractals with are online (It’s the most lit up group). A few messages later and you are all on your way to do more than just procrastinate in Lions Arch.

I’d love some decent heavy armor.
I cannot find anything I want to put on my Guardian, she looks so awful I don’t want to play her anymore tbh.

In a few levels you’ll start seeing gear with three stats instead of two. That’s when you’ll start seeing things like the Valkyrie/Zerker prefixes.

You’ve given me a lot to think on, currently I have her statted with 20 Dueling and 14 Illusion. I do use my clones a lot with F1-F4, I find my personal play style to be a case of throw out a clone to take some aggro, throw a second and then switch to staff for iWarlock before shattering and finishing mobs off. I have probably messed it up somewhere and I’m open to suggestions, I see the link that Helios provided shows something a little different.

At the moment, gear wise, I do have Power and Precision accessories, and also have it on my armor and weapons.

Please excuse my next question, as it’s probably very noobish ._.
Valkyrie and Berserker gear, what are they and how would I obtain? Is it something to aim for in the long run, i.e level 80?

Any links to guides that I can look over are welcome as it may save me from further embarrassing and cringeworthy questions

I started playing about a week ago and went with Mesmer. I’m currently level 40-ish and finding myself to be quite squishy in terms of defense and my damage output could be better.
I’m using Staff/Greatsword, and I’m mostly a PVE player, though guild has taken me on a couple of dungeon runs too.

What would be a nice way to build her without being too squishy (I don’t mind a little squishiness as there has always got to be a compromise between def/dmg) and also have a relatively nice damage output?
