Except that some rare dyes are pretty cheap and some uncommon dyes are expensive. The point is that no matter what system they use, someone is going to be kittened because either the expensive dye they bought isn’t “rare enough” for confirmation, or the cheap dye they bought is.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t it simply a matter of comparing a dye’s store value, trading post highest buy order and possibly the drop percentage with a certain threshold, thus determining the item’s potential worth?
You could even go the extra mile and give the player the power to edit their individual threshold.
After several successful attempts at reproducing the problem, I am now certain that I am not receiving any profits from the items I sell on the trading post.
This started occurring roughly a day ago, maybe even sooner without me noticing it. What happens is that when I sell an item (either through a custom offer or directly to the highest buyer), the fees get deducted from my wallet and the item is shown in the “Items I’ve Sold” view, but there is no money in the “Pick Up” tab.
I’ve tried this with three different items so far and on various characters, and it happened in each case. The items I’ve tried selling were Mango Pies, Metal Scraps and Black Lion Chests.
I’ve initially considered the possibility that the trade profit was there, just not displayed. I have therefore visited the appropriate NPC and attempted to withdraw the money, but to no avail. Since this has first occurred, I have unknowingly lost a fair share of gold and I’m unable to continue trading on the trading post until this is fixed.
Edit: It turns out, I had quite a queue of items waiting for me at the trading post. The gold seems to have been stuck in limbo somewhere between those and I couldn’t withdraw it without taking out some of the items first.
That being said, this is still a bug albeit a far less severe one.

Two releases in a row in which I cannot participate. SAB is a 5 man content patch and now Tequatl Rising, an 80 man content patch. I would go back to killing world bosses if there were enough people in those zones to actually down anything other than the pre-events.
Super Adventure Box can be played just fine solo. Some would even argue it’s easier that way.
I’ve participated in 6 or 7 invasions so far with only 3 of them ending successfully. I’ve managed to collect 2 Twisted Watchwork Shoulders so far.
These numbers probably won’t mean a lot to you, but hopefully you won’t lose hope. Personally I believe that picking the secret stash is usually a better option than the scraps, but that might just be because I’m a bit of a gambler when it comes to loot.
