Have been playing the game on and off since beta and have just bought the HoT expansion and now looking for people to do stuff with.

I like a bit of everything but havent done the new raids yet or done any fractals. Trying to play the HoT story line atm and also level up a new Revenant toon.

Looking for a guild that does a bit of everything with a big focus on WvW too.

Exactly what the title say, how do i find the age of my toons? Ive been playing since beta on and off and created and deleted my toons a few times so ive no idea how exactly i find the age of my toons.

no issues for me seems to of sorted it, still DL client atm but IE works fine

1. For the first step go to your start button and on the search box type cmd and hit enter (you should run cmd.exe). Then you get this DOS like box. This is where you type ipconfig -flushdns (hit enter) and then type ipconfig -registerdns (hit enter and wait about 10 seconds).
2. After this, and this step is what really did it for me, change your DNS settings. To do that, go to your network connections panel (you can access it by going to start»control panel»network and sharing center»change adapter settings (the option on the left). And then right click on your local connection icon and hit properties. Then you get this list of items, click on the one that says internet protocol version 4 and hit the properties button.
3. Finally this is where you change your DNS settings. You don’t need to change the IP adresses. So on the first fields type 8.8.8.8 and on the second field (alternate) type 8.8.4.4. Hit ok, close all these windows, wait about 20 seconds (sometimes more it depends on the internet conection) to settle up. And try to execute the launcher. If it runs smoothly then it has been fixed!

If you’re getting this error double-check to check and see if you have any security software or firewalls enabled to see if they might be blocking the client.

Im having same issue, ive turned off my firewall but no joy. Im using BitDefender Total Security

Ive been having some trouble over the last day or so when on my game seems to disconnect. I can still move around but the skills flash and the NPCs or other players stay still. Sometimes it will stay like this for a few mins then come back where i will be dead. Other times i have to restart.

Is there a way to test my ping to the server im playing on. im in the UK but i play on a US server but this issue is only a day or so old.

im active accross both tz so it doesnt make much difference, im EU based though

Thanks for the tips, looking for a new world now to join. Any ideas? im looking for a bit of everything but mostly WvW

Ive had the game since beta but i stopped playing a few weeks after release when you could still change worlds freely etc. Anyway ive just started playing again and ive now realised im on a crappy world full of RP when id rather be on a PvP world. Is there anyway i can change worlds without having to spend £20 on gems, is there like an option to change worlds once every 6 months or year or w/e?

Hi everyone, thanks for looking. Were a small guild thats recently started up again, were focused on event running and story missions atm but would like to build up so we can start doing guild missions and WvW.

Looking for active players who like to chill and do a bit of everything, any ages welcome aslong as you dont act like a child, a few of us are parents so we get enough of that already and any level. Most of us have L80 toons but were starting new ones also.

Ok so my guild is now split between 2 servers, a US one and an EU one. Problem is is that the guild upgrades dont carry over. We have spent a month getting our upgrades but had to change server because the one we were in was too laggy for the US guys and now were left with nothing. I understand the reasons behind spliting the influence gain but can we atleast have upgrades spread across different servers.

So we will be seeing a return to the way it was then? Judging by the feedback here id say 95% of the people here think you have just borked a part of the game many of us enjoyed.

Doing dungeons was actually the first time i teamed up with anyone outside of pvp and WvW and i gotta say i thought it was great.

The rewards for the dungeons werent great but not bad either. Most of the stuff was a level either above or below the stuff i was already using so the main reason i was doing it was the exp and the gold. Lets face it most of the game is a “Grind” most of the events ive come across are the same some way or another and they give very little in the way of rewards that you have to do them over and over and over and over where as the dungeons gave you a way out of having to grind yourkitten off.

Im a little bored tbh im only L56 and ive seen people taking breaks from the game because there bored and sick of grinding to get little rewards and still so far from L80, and now you have taken one of the main pleasures and said no thats too much fun we cant allow that. Now i just pull my hair out and get stressed out because i get 1 shotted by an enemy thats supposed to be the same level as me and at 1 silver plus to repair armor and the reward is going down im actually losing money now.

Get it fixed, put it back the way it was or atleast get rid of the stupid money sink armor repair.
