Quaggans are too stupid to be a playable race. There, I said it. Quaggan lovers gang up and hate on me. If you wanna be a Quaggan so badly, there are potions in game for that. You can run around saying “Foo on you, Quaggan hater.” To your heart’s content.

I think if Anet wanted to make an underwater race complete with great lore ((The Concordat)) / a sweet potential underwater starter zone ((The deepest part of the sea unknown to the rest of the world)), they would do something new and utilize the Largos. I don’t know about you guys, but an underwater dwelling sleek and sexy race complete with manta ray wings and a voice that’s a mix of Darth Vader and Penelope Cruz beats the HECK out of stupid ’ol Quaggans.

I think it’s a good idea, but maybe just adjust the cost of a race to fast travel to it’s home town instead of using an item. A lot of people would just trash the item for space.

Proposition: Use Armor as Town Clothes

One of the things I love most about this game is the idea of town clothes. It’s really great in the immersion factor to have day-to-day wear for my characters instead of them trouncing about in armor all of the time.

However, town clothing is kind of limited in it’s appeal due to the low number of options. My suggestion is this:

Allow regular equipment to go into the town clothes spots.

Allow any piece to get the cosmetic benefit, but take away all stats and armor, so that you are only utilizing the piece for cosmetic purpose.

It would be a great way for Guardians and Warriors to make use of light armor to create day to day outfits, or for Mages and Necromancers to fulfil their desire to dress like a Seraph while in town.

One major change that would likely need to be made would be to add a shoulder spot to the town clothes tab, but doings so would be highly beneficial to:

• Characters who show off at the bank
• Role Players (Clothes are a considerable portion of our LIVES)
• The economy. (Demand for clothing and cultural gear would go up, draining some of the gold out of the economy.)

I would LOVE to hear some feedback on this, and I would really like to hear word if this idea ever takes off and gets to the dev team.
