Thanks a lot for this =)
Back when it was FIRST availible, I bought a molten alliance mining pick with gems. It was soulbound which makes zero sense, but whatever.
A while ago, the same item was availible for purchase, but those who got it this time around, got it as account bound. This is rather unfair, and I’d like you guys at anet to fix this. Either soulbound all of the mining picks, or account bound the old ones as well.
Uhm… How about playing three (or four, I don’t really care) matches in a week? Let’s take GMT as the base timezone.
From 00:01 GMT to 08:00 GMT, every day of the week, match A would play. Then, from 08:01 GMT to 16:00 GMT, every day of the week, match B would be played. Then, from 16:01 GMT to 00:00 GMT, match C would be played. When it was 00:01 GMT again, match A would resume with the scores from the day before.
Of course, these hours are a subject of change to accomodate for EU and NA primetime.
This way, the servers b*tching about night capping etc would only have to worry about the other hours, and still get a sense of accomplishment from winning them.
I for one am extremely happy about these achievements. In T1, we have enough queues as it is. 5 events a week is doable in 10-20 minutes for more or less anyone who has a brain, and after that, they leave (not entirely true, but it would have been SO much worse if it was different).
Thing is… I’m from a T1 server. And sure, we have numbers. But being T1 means also that we have a LOT more experience. And a lot more organization than servers in lower tiers.
Yesterday, we wiped a red zerg of 50 people with our 10-15 people (and 2 superior ACs and a ballista). And in EB, we wiped 40 blues in open field with 20-25 players. So yes, the matchups in this tournament are jokes, and I don’t really blame them for hacking their way into our keeps when they do this.
This said, the problem won’t be fixed overnight, if ever.
My suggestion to fixing this (at least moving it in the right direction) is twofold;
First off, monitor the amount of players each server has on WvW every day, and make the numbers public. Then, make the server transfers free and watch the problem solve itself.

Spectral Mastery (-20% cooldown) doesn’t work on the Spectral Walk skill. With 50 seconds base cooldown, it should be 40 seconds traited, but the trait applies to the OLD base (60 secs), making the traited cooldown 48 seconds.
Tell me something… What’s the purpose of EotM?
For my part, it’s a place I go to level alts, and farm champion bags. If I meet an opposing zerg, by all means, I dive into the fight.
If you’ve ever followed Bunny in EotM, you should be perfectly aware of the fact that she’s the ultimate EotM-commander.
I’ve leveled four alts in EotM, and I haven’t seen ONE single commander there other than Bunny who actually understood a thing or two about tactics, like going straight for the keep so that the people who have to respawn will have an easier time getting back to the zerg. Or like someone else mentioned earlier; laying brilliant traps for enemy zergs.
The fact that Bunny usually makes green ragequit while playing red is enough proof that she’s awesome. SFR loves Bunny. Screw you haters.
I’ve been playing a s/w-staff condi build on WvW, and had some moderate success with it for roaming, but I’d like to try an axe/warhorn power build. Are there any non-subpar power builds left after the patch? Thanks a lot in advance.
Hi there.
I’m among those who preordered the game before launch. My main used to be a thief, but after getting her to L80 and finally getting sick of playing her after they nerfed my shortbows range (from 1200 to 900, I think), I leveled a mesmer to L80 and never looked back.
I did however quit playing just before november last year for some unknown reason, and haven’t as much as opened GW2 ever since.
A few days ago, I opened it on a whim and saw among other things that LA was no longer the awesome city with constant overflows, among other things.
After roaming around a bit, and trying out my skills etc, I saw that the mesmer no longer had the joy it once had. Back in my day (I think I quit a month or two after they made the GS autoattack “pierce”.), mesmer was a balanced class. It was neither OP nor lacking. But now, I only felt that it was severely lacking, and after a look at the profession forum, it seemed I wasn’t the only one.
So, I’m wondering… Are the guardians still the lovechildren of this game, or has the meta shifted to favour another class?
My main focus will likely be fractals (do they still exist?) and WvW.
And I will never create a ranger no matter the circumstance.
Thanks for answers =)
I use my 20-20-0-25-5 build with full zerk equipment.
1; Pull (focus 4) the first two mobs to the wall on the right side behind the turret and use feedback on them to block the other turret.
2; Pull the boss to the wall with focus 4, timewarp and SoI. Alternate between sword autoattacks and sword 2. Shatter once the warden finishes its second whirl.
3; On the bridge (in middle of the bridge), target one of the flame turrets and use feedback. It’s not supposed to reach the turrets, but rather block the turret shots.
4; Switch to GS and kill the acolytes with your group while “hiding” downstairs when you’ve killed one or two.
5; Portal before the gate opens, use temp curtain once it does, and RUN to the left top. Dodge in the end, place portal exit.
6; On the boss, try keeping all your reflects up as much as possible. First feedback, then warden, then curtain right on the boss’ circle. You also timewarp and SoI once you have enough might stacks.
Rinse & repeat.
Only crappy thing is, you’ll only get time to “rest” while killing the acolytes.

There was also a rumour that mesmer greatsword is getting a buff by making the autoattack AoE of some kind. There was supposedly a link in reddit two days ago with a lot of the upcoming changes.
Can anyone confirm/deny this?
The Vision of the Mists that I just crafted is bugged. It shows two swords overlapping.
Race; Norn
Class; Mesmer
So, I finally crafted it (Vision of the Mists) for my mesmer, and it looks extremely broken (like I’m holding two swords at once). I’ve seen a few screenshots of the sword, and it looks that way on each and every one of them. This is clearly a bug, so I was wondering why it isn’t fixed yet.

I’d love it if the elemental potions dropped from orr karma chests had costume brawl skills. (Charged Potion, Hard Potion, Warm Potion and Cold Potion)
Kinda surprised they don’t already.
How about just disabling chests for guests all together? That way, people would only guest to play with their friends or farm ores, which should keep most of them out of chest event maps save maybe jormag.
Yeah, hadn’t read the description, and thought it was just “regular” master crafter.
I just transed emerald crystals. Costed me like 20 silver when I sold everything.

Well, just wanted to note that I’m PRETTY sure this has something to do with the update on hitboxes on inanimate objects, so if you’ve yet to figure out why this bug came to be, please start looking there.
Someone pointed out Mossman. Despite him being a fairly easy boss (follow the minimap and poke him with your shortbow when(/if) he goes out of stealth (I play a thief)), when someone showed me a new “exploit”, I was overjoyed. Why?
Well, he’s just very poorly designed. 10 second stealths (where he is invulnerable) followed by a oneshot attack, and 3 seconds of visibility (if we’re lucky), then 10 more seconds of stealth, etc etc. Without the exploit, he takes anywhere from 20 minutes (that’s perfect play), to an hour, and it’s not challenging and nor is it fun. It’s just tedious. So of course, when someone showed me a new exploit, I tried it. And every time I run fractals and Mossman with a pick-up group, I’m extremely tempted to suggest that we exploit just because of the poor design of the boss.
I’m going to run this marathon, but all you do is run so I’m going to use a shortcut, because running is just boring.
Wow, a thousand internets to you for that analogy, my friend. You’re genius.

This has bothered me for a while now. I hear of people with 30AR+ and can’t understand how they get that high. You have 5AR for each of the rings and 10AR for an upgraded and infused backpiece. Where do the rest come from? Thanks a lot in advance for the replies.
Death Blossom = 3 extra dodges on full initiative. Period.
Another one to confirm it. It’s quite annoying in Orr btw.
I tried running a thief with d/d-shortbow and presicion-condamage-toughness on ever piece of armor and accessories. Well, long story short, don’t repeat my mistake. Costed me like 10 gold and a crapload of dungeon tokens to learn that con-damage for thieves was useless.
Conditions (especially damaging ones) are hard to stack as a thief. Also, each class (thieves too) have ways of removing those conditions (some even turn them into boons). So go for crit% and crit damage.
SSIA, really. The description on the icon you get when stealthing says “Ends if you deal damage”, which you don’t using Infiltrators Arrow. It however still breaks stealth.
That didn’t help. Any other suggestions?
When I had autoloot on, everything I picked up would show on the bottom right of the screen for a couple of seconds. Now, it doesn’t. I have yet to meet another player who has this issue, and much less a player who knows how to (or if it’s even possible to) fix it
Stuff still get looted, though, so the looting itself isn’t bugged. But since I mainly do WvWvW, it’s good to have some feedback on whether or not I actually got the loot I tried to loot, as I usually play at 10-15 fps when I meet an enemy zerg. If our zerg also is in the picture, this drops to 2-5 fps. So yeah, would love to hear a solution for this problem. Thanks in advance.
