Hi all,
I too was having the same issue that you mention above with the game not running after I clicked play.
It only happened to me today even though I did the Win 10 update on the weekend via the official Microsoft Windows site.
The thing that was causing my problem was I decided to use MSI afterburner and enable the Riviatuner overlay to show my in game FPS, before I started the game today. After I did this the game was having the “not running after I click play issue”.
When I disabled the Riviatuner FPS overlay I was able to click play and the game would run.
Maybe it helps yourselves if you have something similar running.
A point to note is that previous to the Win 10 update I had the Riviatuner FPS counter running with zero issues in Guild Wars 2 but I had decided to disabled it altogether as it was causing Battlefield 1 to crash.
