Those complaining about the micro transactions in this game obviously just don’t have a clue what they are on about, sorry.

This is a b2p model, which had me surprised when it first released, since I’ve played games like WoW, Rift, Aion, Lineage 2, Tera (list goes on) – where you would have to pay monthly to play a game which most often had about half the content that gw2 actually has (with the exception of WoW, and that’s probably the reason that’s pretty much the only game that still pulls the subscription-thingy off.)

As if that would not be enough to satisfy most customers, the expansions are also free (anyone who played WoW knows that feeling when you have to dish up twice the one time fee of gw2, to be able to keep playing WoW for another month or two, each and every time a new overpriced expansion arrived.)

In addition to that, everything in the cash-shop can be exchanged for ingame gold, and even at a really okay price in higher lvls, when you got time to think about silly cosmetic items, boosts, etc.

Not even in League of Legends – that probably has the most critically acclaimed micro transaction system in any f2p game – do the players have the option to use ingame currency for cosmetic items and other things that do not affect fair play.

And yes, it is comparable to a free to play game, considering the one time fee you had to pay was 50 euro at most, and if you’re still not satisfied, then maybe it’s time to get a job and start earning those puny 50 euro again instead of sitting here crying over spilled milk.

I had something similiar, in minecraft though so don’t take my word for it.

However, nvidia cards have that control panel, it lets you adjust the 3d image thingy, try dragging the slider to something else than “performance”.

Haven’t tried, might work.

It has probably been discussed already, but I don’t see why it’s purchased for a 100 gold, and not achieved through wvwvw achievements, (and possibly some kind of rep system?)

An experienced player isn’t necessary a good leader because of it, but this way it would atleast take some dedication, rather than gold farming.

Or, as some other games with territory wars enabled, where people vote for who should be commander, I recall it causing conflicts between guilds on the same side though..

For anyone seeing this, it did not work.. great thing there’s no monthly subscription so I guess nothing’s lost..

Guess I’ll wait three days and then hopefully if I’m online I’ll reroll on the playable server…

Hi, I was stupid enough to migrate to an NA server from an EU one, hoping the latency wouldn’t completely ruin the game for me, and well, it did.

I would very much like to be able to play this game, and if I get stuck at that server it renders my account pretty much useless, so what I’m wondering is; If I delete my characters, will I then be able to change home world?

I know those seven days of cooldown for a transfer, but I would like to be sure to get on the right server while I can, and I’m not sure I’ll be online in a couple of days when my cooldown is over.
