Definitely the former
Hello GW2 community,
A long-time player and lover of tact sarcasm, I am currently looking for a new guild to call home. Having watched several guilds fade into inactivity and obscurity, I am now pursuing a guild with a history of continuity and penchant for successful recruiting when things do change. In addition, I am hoping to find others who share the same drive to improve, to test their abilities and creativity.
What you will get out of me as a player:
- 11k hours of experience from early access to the present
-Fully ascended gear across all classes
-Dungeon speed clear experience (Hobby achievement repeated ~700 times)
-Moderate T4 Fractal experience (largely in PUG setting, so I lack knowledge of speed clear tactics)
-Desire to add artificial difficulty to the game (small party/solos, no UI solos, weapon restrictions, etc…)
-Consistent NA evening hours and heavy weekend hours
-A mic and access to all VoIP
-Positive attitude, maturity (well, most of the time!), and a lover of dad jokes
My GW2 efficiency page can be found:
https://gw2efficiency.com/account/characters/Forsaken.7524
What I look for in a guild and its leadership:
-Medium to large size (50+ active members, or in the ballpark)
-Stability
-Open to teaching guild-specific tactics
-VoIP usage
-Members who love to challenge themselves, to whom the loot is secondary to overcoming obstacles
If I sound like a fit for your team, please either drop me a PM here on the forum or contact me in game @Schala Dreamchaser
Thanks for taking the time to read and best of luck!

In addition, I am hoping to find others who share the same drive to improve, to test their abilities and creativity.
What you will get out of me as a player:
- 10.5k hours of experience from early access to the present
-A split-main between Berserker and Dragon Hunter with alt-mains of Herald and Chronomancer
-Fully ascended gear across all classes
-Dungeon speed clear experience (Hobby achievement repeated ~700 times)
-Moderate T4 Fractal experience (largely in PUG setting, so I lack knowledge of speed clear tactics)
-Light raid experience (only 5 LI), but a desire to learn and execute the encounters at a high level
-Desire to add artificial difficulty to the game (small party/solos, no UI solos, weapon restrictions, etc…)
-Consistent NA evening hours and heavy weekend hours
-A mic and access to all VoIP

Hello, all!
As fate would have it, I am once again looking for a guild to call home. My winding journey has been long, but I hope to finally find that one guild that I can spend the rest of my days in. As a guild mate, I think I bring a few things to the table:
-Experience in most things PvE. I am a seasoned Dungeoneer, have scaled to Fractal level 100, survived the open world, and most things in between. I do lack raid experience, but that’s nothing some repetitions won’t fix. On the whole, my characters have nearly 10k hours between them.
-Fully geared and ready to go. Each of my characters are in full ascended gear (with the exception of Reaper, who needs a couple trinkets from the raid) and set up for most meta compositions. While I don’t necessarily prescribe to the concept of a “Main,” I suppose it would be a toss up between Berserker, Herald, or Chronomancer.
-A respectful member of your community.
-A fellow who is active most often during NA evenings and the weekends.
-A perfectionist who’s always working to get better, to know more, and to help others do the same.
If somehow I’ve piqued your interest, I suppose it may help to know what I’m looking for in a guild. My requirements aren’t many, but at the end of the day they are requirements. My ideal guild would:
1) Use some sort of VoIP regularly.
2) Raid at least weekly and would be willing to train someone new (but familiar with the encounters!).
3) Medium to large size. In other words, it shouldn’t be a struggle for the guild to have multiple groups going.
4) Friendly and mature. All guilds say they are, but I really expect this. As I respect those around me, I expect those folks to respect me and each other.
If I sound like a good fit for your community, the best way to reach me is in game (IGN: Ilyaera), but feel free to send me a message here on the forum as well. I look forward to meeting you! My GW2 Efficiency link is provided below, in case you needed, for whatever reason, to fact check/ready check.

Thank you guys for all the responses! I’m back from Phoenix and we’ll see if we can decide on a home in the next day or two
Hello GW2 community!
I am writing today as me and two of my best friends of ~10 years are looking for a guild to call home. We have bounced around small guild to small guild since the days of GW1, but unfortunately each of those have dissolved. This go around, we would love to find a more permanent home, hopefully in a medium to large sized guild. Our skill level runs the gamut from super casual to semi-hardcore. We bring awesomeness to a guild in the form of:
-Maturity: I am the youngest of the group at 28. You can expect a no-drama, fun seeking attitude from our group
-One, if not two, achievement junkies to join your group of like-minded junkies
-Cookies
-Geared up characters: I have 9 characters in full ascended gear, Kaz has 3 or 4, Zerina has another 1 (looking to add to it!). We’re used to and comfortable in typical party roles
-Activity! We are on nightly and play a minimum of ~4 hours daily.
-As much snark as you can handle
On our side of things, we talked about it and would love for our next guild to be:
-Medium/Large sized. In other words, it shouldn’t be an issue to find people to fill in a party or to find folks to socialize with.
-Peak hours during NA evenings/nights
-Diversity in activity. This is a big one since our skill levels differ so much. Whether it’s boss trains, fractals, raids, open world shenanigans or whatever, we’re looking for a guild that is PvE centered, but that’s about the extent of their focus.
-Mature
-Established. No rebuild/new construction projects please. We’d like for this guild to be our last and showing a history of continuity is definitely a plus.
-A good culture fit. This one’s going to be hard to determine before actually joining (or at minimum talking it over with you folks) but is important all the same.
If we sound like your next favorite guild mates, feel free to drop me a line in game (IGN: Moharis Frostreign) or in a PM here. I’ll be out of town on business this next week but will actively check the forum. Thanks for reading!

Hello!
Like many here, I am attempting to complete the TD meta event for the HOPE collection. Unfortunately, this event hasn’t been too kind to random groups.
I’d like to join up with a guild that is running the TD meta! I can bring any class, in full ascended gear, and have most experience in the SCAR lane.
Feel free to contact me in game. Thanks!
Another concerned player asking for a revert.
That’s fair if the player cannot maintain UC in melee range. In that case they should still be close enough to the party to receive Might from the PS warrior (I’d say banners, but they have a big enough range to that it shouldn’t matter all that much). You’ve never necessarily needed to be right in an enemy’s face…but you should always be close enough to take full advantage of your party’s buffs.
I speak of “should” as in what will assist in accomplishing goals in the most efficient manner. No, I’m not going to pay them to play the way I want to, but I do have and recruit players who want to play that way.

Black Citadel usually, though the distance between the crafting stations and TP in the new LA isn’t all that terrible.
In PvE, I would almost say drop zeal in favor of Hunter/Radiance/Virtues. Hunter and Radiance have a lot of synergy together through Spears of Justice, and the versatility of Virtues is too good to pass up. Sorry Zeal :\
Though if no utility was needed I could maybe see dropping virtues…maybe. The 15% from Big Game Hunter seems like a more reliable damage boost over something like Unscathed Contender.
Cover your ears zerkers … even better, if LB has decent weapon coefficients, you can probably have very good uptime on UC and BGH simultaneously, along with the Pure of Sight trait. Camping LB might be a thing, to the dismay of people that don’t like ranged campers.
Having a ranged weapon does not mean the player should camp at range (i.e. Staff Ele, Grenade Engi). Even if the longbow proves to be worth the slot in optimized PvE, the guardian would still be in melee.
An MMO lives and dies by how well it attracts the average gamer, not the small group of elitists. When content becomes unplayable to the average player, this is a problem with the structure of the game itself, not the player.
This is honestly the crux of the entire thread and the source of our disagreement. I would argue that without challenge (i.e. content unplayable to the average player), an MMO will lose players faster than if it consistently deferred to the average player. While making a game easily accessible is great for getting new players in the door, it does a poor job of keeping the game fresh and exciting for veterans. There needs to be some sort of balance, which is why I would contend that there should be at least some content that is less accessible to the average player.
Obal has updated the DPS Guardian guide for the latest patch:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/guardian/Guide-DPS-Guardian-for-PVE
Granted, this assumes an unbugged (i.e. non-stacking) Symbolic Avenger.
I can understand the sentiment and can appreciate you putting yourself out there amidst what is typically a pretty hostile crowd.
That being said, you have the right to participate in any of the content in this game and to play it in any manner you want. I would only urge you to not deprive others of that right. If there are players who want to do things faster and more efficiently, let them be. Parties that are asking for experienced, level 80 characters are playing the game the way they want to. It isn’t appropriate to ask that these players accommodate your play style while these “average gamers” will not accommodate theirs.
With regards to world bosses, I would encourage you to meet these “elitists” halfway and find other ways to be useful. You can absolutely hold your own on any of the Teq defense teams, for example, on sub-80 characters on any sort of gear and traits. This allows you to build your character exactly how you want and still contribute. In a fight with numerous roles, like Teq and TT, it shouldn’t be the expectation that every build and every character will succeed in every role.
Play how you want, respect others who want to do the same.

I am not sure if this is intended or not, but upon using “Feel My Wrath” on a Charr guardian in the latest patch, a burping sound effect is made.
Server preference: No preference. I am currently on Yak’s Bend
Play Type Preference: PvE
Player Style: Semi-hardcore
Active Time: North American evenings
Voice preference: All platforms available, hoping to find a welcoming group
Social preference: Small/Medium size guild, mature
So a bit about me, I am a 28 year old player in search of a guild that will help rekindle the flame, so to speak. With my previous guild focused on WvW and achievement hunting, two aspects of game play that I have no interest in, I want to find a group dedicated to dungeon running. While your guild doesn’t necessarily have to be entirely focused on this part of the game, I’d like to fit in with a core within your guild that is.
Things I can bring to a guild:
-8 fully geared (zerker) characters. Don’t worry about my build or my gear holding the group back. I run full DPS specs and feel comfortable in most roles
-Good listening skills
-Experience in leading groups
-A genuine interest in helping others
-6,400+ hours of GW2 experience, and counting
-Reliable hours
-Cookies
Things I am looking for in a guild:
-A core of dungeon players that would welcome another member
-I have a pretty low tolerance for lewd. I’d ask that it’s kept to a minimum
-VoIP
-Weekly guild missions (not a deal breaker if you don’t, just a nice to have)
-Stability
-I enjoy streaming my game play on Twitch. I know some folks don’t like to be recorded, but I would ask that my next guild be fine with being on stream.
If I sound like a fit in your community, feel free to contact me in game (IGN: Moharis Frostreign). I will be out of town on business until Thursday, but I will check the forums occasionally until I get back.
Thanks!

Recognize yourself in the picture? Was it necessary to dance and try to sit on my head after steamrolling me with 20+ people? If you wish lets us meet one on one and we shall see who dances in the end.
If it’s any consolation, my guild kicks people that we catch doing this (emote spamming the dead). It’s really in bad taste.
