You complain about all the equipment drops that is virtually worthless, then you complain about the high prices of exotics? This logic seems inconsistent to me.
I wish we could short-sell the market.
That’s actually a superior and perfect idea Cromx. I challenge ANet to give one reason for not implementing it.
World PVE (events) scale so terribly, that everyone expects bosses to die while they are alt tabbed, and people get upset when dungeons don’t work that way.
Discuss.
Thing is, while there are plenty of difficult paths – no one ever runs them, and you feel silly for running them more then once because there are so many easier paths that everyone else is running. This could be solved if you could only earn tokens from a dungeon once a day – so then ppl would do all the paths.
Actually Dishconnected, things get even worse. If you are a patient buyer then making an order only 1% less then the buy price will still benefit you; so in the long run (and for many items already) I believe the spread between order-buy’s will be less then 15%.
But people still thinking they can profit from crafting… lol.. it’s 2012 guys.
I’ve pugged more then a dozen times now, and every time we’ve finished the dungeon :S
AC isn’t the best intro to dungeons though.
Out of the 5 dungeons I’ve done, TA is my favorite by far. It looks stunning and the fights are fun and engaging.
Personally the only reason I would want to play a theme-park MMO is for a dungeon treadmill. There is no real incentive/treadmill in this game; so after completing exploration on every dungeon it seems all we can do is quit and wait for new content.
IIRC, they were not only going to make a website for live trading post prices, but we were going to be able to manage our trades on the website too.
On one hand, supporting during events should be recognized as contribution.
On the other hand, I often leave events half way through because I know I’ve already done enough to guarantee me gold.
Rather then dumbing down storymode (my god, its so easy), I’d rather leveling be made more difficult. I can solo 5 mobs comfortably; way too easy.
Trahearne also missed one of his earlier lines. Also after just entering the HQ, I must have walked too far forward, because I got stuck inside the device that’s meant to explode

As a lvl 63 I am able to solo 5-6mobs without getting too stressed. Don’t even dodge, though I do start kiting if I pull that many mobs. Then I guess it depends on the difficulty of the mob.
In any case, my damage is abit less then yours; though I got decent bleeds that make up for it.
The way I’m seeing it;
Longbow = PVP due to range, and group events due to AOE
Shortbow = Standard PVE, due to superior dps
I mean extra damage for extra distance can be annoying in dungeons when you don’t always have the space, and most of the time you can keep up around 10bleeds at a time. Alot of ranger builds have alot of conditional damage too – giving shortbow even more dps.
Like every other mmorpg, crafting is nothing but a money sink. It amazes me how many people continue to waste their gold on them.
I have never ressed my pet during battle, and was always amused when random people would do it for me. This was a sensible move.
Look at the economy… prices have been falling hard for nearly all items. I’ve been vendoring all greens/blues and a few yellows. Drop rates need to be balanced hard.
We have the same problem right now. Not cool.
I’m even vendoring yellow drops, the economy in GW2 is so unbalanced, and is only made worse by having a hidden 10% sales tax (making a total 15% trading tax). I really need to buy an EvE account.
I just had this ‘problem’, but once I read Alex’s post I used the Anchor in the middle of the room and it worked a charm
Could be made abit more intuitive.
Same as above; just sold 250 Jute Scraps for 29c each (= 72.5 silver – 3.62fee = 68.88 silver net). But I only received 65.26silver.
I’ve been trading for 3hours just now, and 2hours last night and my money hasn’t moved up at all – if anything it’s gone down 1-2gold.
Then there are other times when I receive more items then I ordered (i.e. 260 instead of 250). I’m unsure if these extra items are ‘free’ or if I paid for them at the same cost as the rest of the order.
I am also suspicious of the priority system during orders. Just then there were 500 orders for Jute Scrap at 25c, I proceeded to order around 2000 at this place. While my first 250order was filled within ~2mins, I am still waiting nearly an hour later for my last few orders to be filled up; even though I should be the first priority order for that price and 80% of the time I check that order price is still the highest. It’s almost as if orders are round-robin, so once my first order of 250 is fulfilled I’m then put at the back of the que for that order price; is this intended?
In any case, this trading post has serious economic-altering issues. Profitable trading is impossible in this situation.
