Hey there,

Thanks for coming back to me

Now I’m at CET -1, so that would be GMT, being in england.

Now it’s kind of good in a way that refreshing doesn’t change the results, at least they are consistent.

By checking , all my times are at GMT , or CET -1, so you being GMT +3 , would be CET (central European time, as per official schedule) +2, so what it would do is add that +2*60 minutes to your schedule, so for instance.

At 8.30pm CET time it would be Claw of Jormag up , on my end (CET-1)
Golem Mark II, Shadow Behemoth which is what you are seeing , it SHOULD give you a +2 hrs so it should say
The Shatterer, Fire Elemental, Modniir Ulgoth.

Would that be correct?

If that is the case it could be getting your time zones mixed up, that bit, while kind of fundamental to the whole thing is just done on a simple javascript call to get it via a simple date object, which might not be always good, i’ll do some research and get back to you. If I can’t find anything, i’ll switch to a more comprehensive way to that I’ve got and see if that helps

Hmm, times are local times, looking at the schedules, for shatterer to come up at 8pm , that would have had to be US Eastern time.

How this works is that it takes central european time and then adjusts it to your time zone. It does this once when the times are loaded into the system.Does this always happen? what time do you have when its 8pm server time? The site should take into account the time difference… what time zone are you in?

Hey thanks for the feedback

That would be aces
This is not a big project, it’s just for my own fun , but it’s also kind of for the community in a “hey if you like it use it” kind of way, it’ll be nice if it was used

I’m working on it today, iI’ll add simple “done” markers, perhaps a greyed out tick that can be toggled on and/or off.

The thing about cal events, is that well, I know exactly how to do them but raids are different to worldbosses and daily occurring events, sure by adding them into google cal it would allow all sorts of cal alarm features, but it would also just fill the cal up with so much junk that it might compromise the usage of a cal in the first place!

I could look into the api however it would be a cool thing to do! Site alarms will be coming first, that isn’t all that hard to put in place

Thanks for the feed back

Green is what is currently up, orange what will be up next and red, that which has been up before, what has passed or that which has been missed! Perhaps it’s not too obvious, maybe it needs a key.

Hmm I could group world bosses by importance, but I think too many things going on might get a little confusing.

I know what you mean about the TBD events, they are confusing … mind they do also serve to inform people why nothing is up when something is usually up every 15 minutes, it serves to show there is a slot there , but it’s not being used. Perhaps a message at the bottom to that effect is needed!

I intend to add event alarms so that people can choose to be reminded that certain events are up

Thanks for the reply

I’ve been working on the interface, as I’m a techie, that side of things sometimes lacks!

Hmm I’ve been worried about time zone differences, and what that might do?

What time zone are you in ? Does it always happen? When you refresh the screen?

New world boss tracker

I made a post about this a few days ago, but in the wrong forum so here it is here.

Decided it was time to start looking at the API for GW2, as I like that sorta thing.
Then they done gone and wrecked it with this instanced WB schedule ;D

This is my learn GW2 stuff project, for fun. My aim is to make something I like and I find useful, thought I’d share in case any have similar tastes as myself. It’s just one of many timers, but I hope to do funky stuff with it as a project as time goes and hopefully it’ll grow into a cool thing to use.

Events API 2.0 ?

Same thing.

Just as I was looking at api development, it’s all gone heads up. To be honest I’m not sure how they’ll be able to fix it.

Is the thing I’m working on, just for fun etc, right now instead of an awesome event tracker it just has a typical schedule-on-rails. I’d love for a new api to come out.

Unplug [DC] is recruiting once again! (RoS)

Just to say, I leveled my El to quite high without a guild then wanted to do dungeons and fractals, I joined Unplug [DC] and not looked back, we are a small guild but close nit and supportive, always looking out for each other and perfect for the casual player like myself.

Anyone looking for a nice guild where they can play as they please but also find a nice group of people to do dungeons and fractals with, look no further

Hey guys, been playing solo, having a blast but getting to the stage I want to take on bigger things and looking for group.

kind of casual, adventuting all over the map, looking for a guild that organises group encounters, but won’t miss me if i’m on the otherside of the world. Happy to help any level or area. I play uk time and i’m into pve and crafting, could be up for pvp and wvw though I hear that can be being a glutton for punishment

Basically looking for a fair sized guild, who arn’t too bossy, if I’m able i play fair and considerate and always happy to help, revive, explore that sort of thing, I have no idea how to get involved in guilds so I’m posting here

Noob question about weapon damage

in Elementalist

Posted by: Froggy.5371

Froggy.5371

Sorry if this has been asked before , have done a quick search and found similar topics but no definitive answer.

Elementalists do damage with our spells, we never actually “hit” anyone with our weapons, we do damage based on the spell effect which have damage numbers already

Now I know which combinations of weapons give different skills to use, my question is, aside from the +stats a weapon may give us, does that actual weapon damage mean anything to the affective damage of our spells? If so in what way, the damage never seems anywhere near the damage range.

Also I know we can’t switch weapons in combat, is there a way to auto switch between say twin daggers and a two handed staff?

Many thanks!

Hi there, long time gamer, long time crpger, never been interested in mmorpg’s but decided to give Guild wars 2 a try due to a lack of good rpgs out right now and its pve elments, loving it!

I am only l7, today I noticed my level was reduced in an area and I immediately thought, ah well that sucks, but I knew this happens and so was no big deal.

I decided to give the new clockwork event a go, and I was scaled to l80.I play like a noob and have no gear but by running around and being strategic I held my own, got a few kills and completed the first stage. I then go to the next stage and get killed with one hit, sm I right in thinking you get level scaling in lower areas or instances, but otherwise you have to earn the power to go places? If so cool, rank hath it’s privileges, just am just wondering now this works!
