That’s great and all by why does it only happen at certain times of the day.
And I’ve never had to repair to get back in. I just keep trying to log-in until it finally works. Takes about 15 attempts some times, but it always gets me back in eventually.
I’m not buying the “you need to repair the Client” spiel (no offense).

They showed up at Southsun. Found out there was nothing really to do there, and then left.
I’ve noticed in the past day or two that the overall chance to receive ANY kind of loot from creatures has dropped (or at least the skelks that i’ve been farming). I’ve been taking on 4 and 5 skelks at a time (solo) and not getting any of them to drop loot. Four days ago, the average drop percentage for any kind of loot was probably about 70-80%. In the last day or two it’s been about 40-50% if that.
Case 1: they CANNOT be done with less than 5 people (at least the reasonably hard ones)
Which is not that bad, in itself – but it means that if out of the 5, one is incompetent, you still have no chance.
Just got back from a 3-hour run of the Weapons Facilities, where a single ranger with the HP of a European coconut-laden swallow kept 4 other people from being able to finish – dozens of runs on the bosses, with different strategies and varying amounts of success, until she left and we replaced her with someone competent.
I’m gonna disagree with Case 1. We did everything but the boss with just 4 people. Only one was level 80. Also, the 4 of us aren’t even close to being particularly skillful. We wiped alot, but it was doable over a couple of hours. Granted, we needed a 5th to take out the bosses finally, but i don’t think just one incompetent person is going to cause the rest of the group to not make it through.
I agree with the other two cases, though. Checkpoints would be nice for our super-casual guild, as we really only get together and play 1 night a week. Same for availability….would have been nice to have this dungeon around for more than 2 weeks.

Oh, i totally understand. What i don’t understand is why i’ve been able to do all of the events up until now solo. I don’t mind playing with others in a group. It’s just that others don’t want me around. How am i supposed to do the content then? Why was i wasting my time doing all of the previous events that i could solo?
This sucks. How am i supposed to complete the event when nobody will let a level 29 join a group?
We ran the dungeon last night with 3 other friends (4 of us total). Only 1 of us was level 80 and we made it to the bosses before we decided to get a 5th to help us finish.
Yes, it took longer than a standard run, but it is doable. Why is everyone so snobbish?

Awesome fun trying to find someone to run a level 29 thru MF. Thanks ANet for this levely experience…especially since my wife never got credit for the Hatchery the first time through! =(

I’m writing this on behalf of my wife’s (character) and she submitted a bug report already.
She had already done the Hatchery achievement awhile ago but just noticed after doing MF that she didn’t have credit for the Hatchery achievement. I went and re-did that for her late last night as she was too tired to want to complete it again. After doing the Hatchery and now getting credit, it now shows she doesn’t have the achievement for the MF dungeon completion…which she just completed an hour earlier.
She’s a VERY casual player (highest level character is 29 at the moment from launch). It’s not something that she probably has time to re-do again between now and the closing of the events with Mother’s Day and all coming up. What, if anything, can be done so that she still gets her achievements that she rightfully completed?
You use Transmutation Stones to combine the look of something with the stats of something else. You can acquire Transmutation Stones by “completing” a map or purchasing them on the gem store. The “Basic” tones work on everything from level 79 down. There are “Fine” stones that work with level 80 gear. One stone will change one piece of armor or a single weapon. So, obviously, you will need many stones to change a full set.
So, yeah, if you like the look of something, save it for future use. The skins for the Halloween event should work the same way.
1. The ability to see ally and enemy health numbers on their bars. Why was this not in the game standard? What other MMO doesn’t have the option at least to show actual health numbers on the bars?

How about we see actual numbers on ally and enemy health bars before we get a dps meter. Baby steps, people. Baby steps.
The problem is the mobility. When you strafe (or circle strafe) so that you can attack your target still, your movement speed is significantly reduced. It is very easy for any melee player to chase you down normally, and any condition that an Ele can apply can usually be negated by condition removals or the countless ways that melee can close the gap. There is no balance here because of the decreased speed you have while in combat.
This is something that WoW nailed spot on. There was a good balance of being mobile (your speed wasn’t decreased because you were strafing) and enemies having skills to close the gap on you. A very good mage was skilled at moving and strafing while employing their cc to keep the enemy at a safe distance.
